This is a fascinating place full of history and interest. We spoke to one of the monks who was a joy to talk to. Beautiful buildings and grounds. Would happily go again.

Interesting small museum. Visit to Abbey marred because it was a dark, rainy day and it was so dark inside it was impossible to view anything properly. We were the only visitors and felt like we shouldn't be there. It is very big and daunting.More

There was a lot to read in the visitor centre so all some time for this. The abbey is amazing and is best on a sunny day as the windows light up well. Shame that the monks do not have a lunchtime service as this...More

Came intending to walk the dogs round the grounds then sit and have our picnic, we were lucky enough to see the cricket match taking place. Wonderful to sit in the sunshine and enjoy such a peaceful place.
