Went here in the evening as booked for a meal, enjoyed it that much booked again a few weeks later. The wolves are bigger than you think, in a forest environment, and if you are lucky enough to hear them howling, its amazing, more like singing. The meal far exceeded our expectations, choice was good, including a vegetarian option and the mushroom sauce is simply to die for. There are ample opportunities to see the wolves (see pictures). There are other animals on site, too. This refuge is unsuitable for people with walking difficulties, and even sure footed people should wear decent footwear in damp/wet weather. There is an optional extended walk through the woods, with information and exhibits, including a reconstruction of a wolf trap. There is a ramshackle bar at the entrance. The car park is some way from the entrance, but disabled persons can park at the entrance. There is room to drop passengers off at this point, too.…
