Our guide was born and grew up on the island and knew just where to go to see the wildlife on the islands’ shores and in the water. We appreciated sharing a local person’s perspective on being a part of the Galapagos National Park. You...More

Came here in October 2017 and first walked the lava formations and had to ensure that I did not step on any marine iguanas because they were all over sunning themselves. This was probably one of my top spots to see the iguanas because you...More

Saw white tip sharks and sea lions there. For snorkeling, my friend said that she saw starfish and sea turtles. I can't swim so I stayed near the shore and saw some cute fish. The water is really clear and wonderful for snorkeling.

We went here on our last day, so we may have been desensitized to how cool it was because of everything we had already seen. It is a small islet off Isabella, mainly lava rock with many marine iguanas, blue footed boobies, sea lions and...More

We took a day trip from Santa Cruz to Isla Isabela. The tour felt a bit rushed but we saw a lot. We first went on land of the Islote Tintoreras. It's a sharp volvanic rock formation with white tips (froman algae). Iguanas are walking...More

At the edge of Puerto Villamil, we went on a land tour with close up viewing of many iguanas of many sizes, some digging nests. We also saw sea lions and swimming iguanas. We then went snorkling in a lagoon with large rays and a...More

This is one of the cheaper tours you can take, but worthwhile. I took it to snorkel, but of the 3 hours that I thought we’d have in the water, only 40 minutes was actually there. The rest of the time was spent on a...More

We paid about $45 per person. You can pay by credit but they charge extra, about 20%. The person who said there is an ATM is wrong - there is no bank or ATM on Isabela. Best to take lots of cash. The Tintoreras tour is... More
