It is a remote place but fascinating. The artist uses old glass primarily wine bottles in order to create art. Although the production was closed we learned from the shop what variety of lamps, vases can be made. We bought a very nice blue vase.

We have been here before and bought some pieces to take home, we always said we would go back again when in Crete. So here we are shopping again, they have some lovely blown/hand crafted glass all different colours shapes and sizes nothing the same all unique. Again we bought something to take home and glad we did it looks... More

Tons of unique pieces by a small family owned and operated glass blowing family. The only and last of its kind on the island of Crete. Worth the visit to see and buy some unique pieces!

Fantastic. I was told that this is the last glass factory in Crete and the first using recycled glass. Beautiful unique glasswork made on site by the same family for a number of generations. A huge range of jugs, glasses, ornaments, lampshades. I bought a vintage brass lamp with a blue glass lampshade that had somehow been blown into the... More

We were staying in the local area and had heard about this place. It is quite unlike anything we had seen before. The local people all send their empties to the factory which is then recycled into glasses, vases, light fittings candle holders and ornaments in a great variety of styles and colours. We bought some mementos to take back.... More

Stop by this interesting shop, if you're in the area. Very cool to see all the unique vases, bowls, candle holders, etc... The location is off on TripAdvisor. I pinned it on google maps when we were there... http://goo.gl/maps/QiCJo Enjoy!

There are no signs to the factory. It is located before you enter Kokkino Horio arriving from Drapanos. If you pass a big pile of glass you have just passed the entrance. Or if you are looking in to the graveyeard it is on your right, about 200 meters. Green gate and fence surrounds it. Beautiful and interesting shapes and... More
