We visited on a Saturday morning and the museum was quiet. This is located about 45 mins from our home near Vilseck. It's quite easy to find and navigating here should not be a deterrent to visit. The museum is well-done and informative. I was...More

We visited the Memorial on a Sunday morning. There is a lot of walking involved but it was well worth it. Bring cash for Museum cafe!

There is not much left anymore from the original camp. Only some watch towers, the commanders office, laundry etcetera. The quarry is some 3 miles away from the camp. The museum is excellent with a lot of information about the wrong doings during World War...More

It was a long drive... when I got to flossenberg the sky became overcast-and it was slightly windy. I felt sick as I was leaving the crematorium...I've dealt with death before but being in this place was a lot worst than anything I've had to...More

This was an amazing historical trip. We went here before heading to the Flossenburg castle ruins. There is so much sadness and history here. We took our 7 year old son and 10 year old daughter. They are VERY well behaved. I Would not suggest...More

This is a must visit. It doesn't cost anything to pay your respects. There is also an old stone fortress that you can visit that overlooks the camp. Lots of information and never busy.

There are some many of these camps in Germany and other countries. This community has done a wonder job in bringing history back for people to visit and learn from.

This museum and memorial appears to be relatively new, but does an incredible job of depicting the conditions and history of the camp. Very few visitors when we toured in August. Would highly recommend.

Yes, I am convinced that they would accept this with all the honour. The camps Museum is really impressing and there are some artifacts from prisoners showed. So, I would say send them, bring them because Flossenburg has to... More

A taxi would be expensive as it's about 143km. Do you have an international license to rent a car? If you download the DB Navigator app, it will tell you the train schedule. You can google Bamberg to Flossenburg and it will... More

The museum is located inside the concentration camp. I would plan for at least half a day to view everything. We did not take the tour, everything is well documented and available in English. We also visited Dachau, which is... More
