This review is long due. My wife and I purchased the ice-climbing tour in summer and woo was that fun.. This was the first time for both of us, so we were a little nervous, but it turned out to be the highlight of our Alaska trip, better than cruise in Kenai-fjords, even though we saw like 25 whales and... There is no set itinerary on the adventure trek so the small group kind of decides what it is they want to do most. 6 hours went by really fast. I seen other large groups with other companies and it looked too touristy, so I was glad I chose this one with NOVA.We also Ice climbed Exit Glacier. I recommend... More

Walking on a Glacier is a once in a lifetime experience. Matanuska Glacier tour is one of the most important things to do in Alaska and Nova made it truly a memorable experience. No prior hiking experience needed, shoes and crampons were provided and NOVA guides were helpful during the entire tour. I would strongly suggest a guided tour if... More

We were 2 couples visiting in the first week of September. Having never seen a Glacier before, the thought of getting there had us very excited. We planned our itinerary based on Internet research and suggestions from friends who had visited earlier. Would love to share to others can benefit and make the most out of this activity. I realised... More

My daughter, her husband, my wife and I booked the rafting trip on the Matanuska River a few days before online. Because the river flow decreased, NOVA emailed us about the change and offered a discounted rate or full refund. Very considerate. We opted to go. The dry suits worked great and the adventure was just right for us. An... More

We did the Matanuska glacier adventure trek and really enjoyed walking and hiking on the glacier. We loved the ice climbing experience but I wish it was more organized. we started off having 6 people in our group and later they combined and shuffled and made it a group of 8.The guides were good but didn't bother much to help... We were in Alaska for a family vacation--my wife and I (50 somethings) and our two adult children (20 somethings). We were staying in Anchorage and drove to Matanuska Glacier for an ice climbing tour. We met at the Nova HQ, where guides Mike and Robin fitted us all with waterproof boots, crampons, helmets, and harnesses, then we loaded into... More

My son and I went to the Glacier Hike with Nova. We had an amazing experience. The staff and the guides had great expertise, were very professional and fun, knew a lot about the glacier and made sure everybody in the group was geared properly and were safe. Greatly recommend this activity.

This was a tremendous experience - once in a lifetime for me. They did a great job of providing equipment that fit correctly and instruction on how to do the ice climbing. Our guide (Mitch) did a great job with our team of 4. We each had turns and enough instruction to achieve more than we thought capable of doing.... More
