The Newbiggin maritime Centre is not just a canny cafe and visitor centre ...it hosts evening events too. I was lucky enough to attend a play A Necessary Woman ...fabulous play that was thought provoking ... emotional and well produced .

Thank you Kim B, the play was indeed ‘thought provoking ‘ and more recently we have had the most poignant exhibition ‘Craft/Conflict’ we hosted it for Highlights. The amazing Art produced by refugees in Syria and other countries in conflict. We are so lucky.
