Cool looking castle

Cool looking castle. Just a short walk from the Main Street. Didn't get a chance to go inside but I heard it costs about €3

We only viewed the castle from the outside since our days were spent elsewhere, but it is a lovely local site in the evening.

When in the Ciechanow area of Poland, a stop at the castle, dating back to the 14th century, is worth the time. The castle is within easy walking distance of the center of the city and there is plenty of parking available.

Nice, renovated castle. As I was said, not very popular among locals, although they really try to activate local community. Partly interactive with many additional displays. Not for toddlers (too many high stairs), but should be more interesting for a little bit older children. Economic entry fee.

This castle is full of history, especially WWII. Read up on in before you go. There is a fun interactive area and for young kids and adults, there are some fun games and their is a screen to send emails to place you in the castle. Climb the tower.

I am the kind of person that enjoy things the way they were years ago, in their original state (at least when possible). This castle is not like that. Is been remodeled and transformed into a museum. I visited the castle the first week of June, 2015. They were still working on the restoration. Besides the overdone transformation of the... More

Compare to Malbork Fortress - Ciechanów castel is trifling and infinitesimal. There is nothing inside, external walls and keeps only. Not only. It is the small museum room and multimedia presentation inside too. Ciechanów castel interior is under reconstruction and revitalisation and I hope it will be truly interesting after that. At present: 20 minutes enough to familiarize yourself with... More

Located 95 km north of Warsaw, the medieval Castle of the Dukes of Mazovia (Zamek Książąt Mazowieckich) sits in the center of the small burb of Ciechanów. You can’t miss this 15th century castle, built on the order of Duke Janusz I, on the edge of the small river of Łydyni. Inside, there are a few display cases housing items,... More
