We dropped in to try the wine and their newly released sparkling wine is a stand-out. The grape varieties here make for a very different experience, for me a strong floral character and we will definitely be back!

We have been buying English Wine from Kent for years, and discovered the vineyard at Staple very many years ago. That vineyard closed when the owner died and as a result Barnsole came into its own. We bought from this vineyard under the Canterbury Choice label and were never disappointed. In more recent years the vineyard was sold to the... More

My Dad and I visited here on a Sunday. He has been visiting Barnsole for 7 or 8 years now to stock up on their wine. The wine selection has increased over the years and we were not disappointed on our visit this time. The sparkling wine was so delicious as were all of the other wines we tried. There... More

I'm not a wine drinker but my partner wanted to visit... We were welcomed by the owners who were more than happy to share their knowledge and experience... We had a wonderful education on different wines and the effect of age and grape type on taste. Being able to taste the wines whilst it was explained was fabulous... We were... More

A small but very interesting vineyard. Very knowledgable tour and excellent wines to taste. If you like your wine and want somewhere to spend an hour learning more about English Wines then this is a great place to stop off and true out. Fantastic pub just around the corner as well if you want to tie into a lunchtime visit.

My girlfriend and I popped in mostly out of nosiness in the middle of a walk. We were treated to a brief history of the vineyard, a discussion about the wines they're currently producing, and got the chance to taste two fantastic white wines and a red. We're looking forward to coming back in May to buy a case of... More

My two grown-up sons and I visited Barnsole vineyard on Tuesday and despite a miserable November day had a fabulous afternoon. Philip and his wife Sally, the owners of this small Kent vineyard, made us very welcome and gave us an extremely interesting talk and tour. Philip is very knowledgeable about his subject and it was fascinating to learn about... More

We visited Barnsole VIneyard whilst our short break in Kent we found it quite easily and the welcome from the owners was very nice we were shown round where wine is made and matures then the vine fields which were vast and looked like it was a good crop one......[ amusing incident whilst we were there the owner had made... Visited again today for my annual re-supply of this delicious English Wine. They offer award winning Whites (a Dry and medium), and a superb Red. You won't find these in the supermarkets, and there is no short cut but to drop in to the vineyard (10 miles east of Canterbury) and buy a bottle or 2, or better still a... More
