It’s a nice pub. We enjoyed it but there are definitely better pubs in the area with better staff, beers and food...

Great pub in the heart of Chilham. Brilliant food, accommodation and a great selection of ales and beers. All the food is great but the fish and chips is well worth a go. Great staff and atmosphere.

Chilham is a delightful village, approached by hills on all sides and with no bus service or discernible shop, but the Woolpack seems to be flourishing, although the bar area is a bit shabby and there was no lime for my lemonade. From the photos, their restaurant looks nice, but we didn’t eat there as we were just passing through. We had a look at the menu, which was interesting, along with their advertised Christmas lunch for £99. We wondered how a pretty traditional little country pub could possibly justify such an extortionate price, but no doubt there are those willing to pay.

Spent the bank holiday weekend in Chilham and found the woolpack to be by far the best pub in the village. Food was great, good choice and great quality. Shepherd Neame beer on tap was well kept and very fresh. Well decorated and traditional country pub feel and the staff were great. Pop in for an afternoon pint or if your staying in the village make this an evening must!

Always a lovely welcome, and consistently good quality food. I’ve been using this Pub for food, both with my partner and as a family with teenage boys, and I can hand on heart not say I’ve ever had a bad meal! Ok so it’s a village pub, and it will never win awards (which is a shame), but if you’re expecting pub grub (and let’s face it that’s what you’re paying for), you’ll always be pleased. “You don’t have to be local to feel local” attitude of staff will win you over before you even get fed! Much love to the team here x
