This is a museum of bits and pieces - but so worth the visit because it is on the most delightful and little visited tiny island. This is the very original Venice - there before Venice itself, so the remains on view here, though few,...More

I was quite confused, by what I saw at this small, tiny museum. It lacked organization, structure, cohesiveness. It was as if it did not have a purpose at all: a few, archaeological finds strewn about haphazardly. Its medieval and modern sections were just as...More

Fun little island. A must for lunch. The museum includes a throne from the 600s attributed to Atilla the Hun (probably not) which makes a fun picture to send back home.

This was a boring museum, I can’t even understand why they had developed it. It could have told the story of the history of Torcello but it didn’t.

Many exhibits showing the early history of Torcello, the first inhabited island in the lagoon. We took advantage of the free entrance for EU citizens over 65 while we can.

The Museo Provinciale di Torcello has some items from the people who lived in the island between 500 a.c and 1800 a.c.The ticket was expensive and you will not miss anything,if you will not visit it!

Most of the museum is outside rather on the inside, right outside church there is a kings throne. 20 meters away there is a wall with ancient statues and artifacts. Torcello is a small island most uninhabited now.
