Very well kept school room of old , very interesting place to visit even the lights are the old gas lamps and mantle, and I will be back again.the cafe is also a bonus for a cuppa and cakes ,

A little gem of a museum, all the things I remember and some I had forgotten from my childhood school days,and a lovely little cafe too with home made cake, icecream and much more.

Not our first nor last visit . Nice cup of coffee and very tasty cake.Pleasant comfortable surroundings and cheerful staff.

An interesting museum with good insights into the development of schools in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Excellent coffee shop.

Really interesting not only the physical building and facts but the real life experiences of former pupils on video added bonus the cafe!

We live locally so we take our visitors here. We don't tire of it, it's always nice to look round again, and they have a lovely cafe there now which is worth a visit of it's own!

Visited with a group of friends, entrance is free but the opportunity is there to give a suggested donation of £3. We spent about two hours looking around the playground, school rooms & shop. The classrooms are set in different ages & tells the story...More

Much belated reply (sorry) for future information - am only just getting to understand TripAdvisor! We are unable to accommodate dogs in the museum and coffee shop, except guide dogs, mainly because of restricted space... More

Thursday to Saturday 10am to 4pm. Sunday 11am to 4pm (with the school canteen opening from 10.30am)
