I came across the woollen mill by chance and fell in love with the place. The scarves, wraps, rugs etc are beautifully made and the colours are superb. I saw the exhibition but the thing I will always remember is how friendly and chatty they are, even discussing hip operations! I made several further visits there in my week stay... More

Love, love visiting the gallery as through the year the exhibitions are so diverse. The current exhibition is of silk paintings which are just gorgeous. Definitely worth a visit:-)

Went here having been last year. Very disappointed, the actual Mill shop was deserted and felt soulless. The Manx presents bit which used to be at the entrance to the Mill Shop has moved to a small shop upstairs by the cafe which has taken something away from the Mill shop itself. Shame. Didn't enjoy my visit so much this... More

pop along for a walk and the teashop and lots of little manx shops selling gifts for the isle of man, just lovely, can park just behind as easier to get there.

I'm not an enthusiast of woollen mills having visited several in Scotland, and the Laxey Mill has not altered my view, although it was interesting to see the seemingly bored operative, weaving the cloth. The gallery above also contained several mediocre paintings, with only a few warranting display, in my opinion. The best features of the Mill, seemed to be... More

A wonderful gallery display in a spacious and light setting; high quality gifts and a wide and varied range of souvenirs; a cafeteria serving magnificent cakes! Definitley a worthwhile and interesting place to visit.

It is ok for a quick browse around if you are passing, but not a special visit. The items are all quite expensive. Manx tartan travel blanket - £60

We had seen signs for the Woollen Mills multiple times as we were staying in Laxey, so we decided to visit. The shop is lovely, you can see some of the fabric being made and there are lots of goodies to buy. We ended up spending a lengthy amount of time buying various biscuits, fudge, aprons, ties, Manx cookery books,... More
