Travelling to Coron/Busuanga Island, our goal was to experience the many snorkeling opportunities (reefs, marine life & wrecks) that were available on day trips leaving Coron port. We pre-booked using Calamianes Expeditions & Ecotours for our four days of planned adventure and this place was one the sites visited/experienced during one of the private day trips. (The tour operator &... More

Black island gives off a very interesting feeling when approaching it's monstrosity. My first time I circled it with a jetski and it makes you feel so small because of the incredibly large dark limestone formations (because it was around 5:00pm and the sun was setting behind the island). Second time I actually went on the island with a boat.... More

The island looms like a black rock from the seas around. It does have a beautiful sandy beach and coral reefs. I'm told there is a cave with water in it but I'm not interested in caves. But there is nothing else here and definitely no shade, so after a quick swim I never stopped here again on my many... More

Black Island, it's like coron island without the people. It is at the top north of Busuanga, so if you don't have a hotel close, it might take you 2-3 hours by boat to reach. Luckily for us, it was 30 min :). Amazing beach, super clear water, absolutely beautiful & colorful corals if you snorkle on the left side... More

After resting a bit from a sumptuous lunch, our Captain led us the way to the cave. I think I kept my mouth open with amazement as I saw the opening of the cave. I stayed for about 15 minutes outside the cave because I can't seem to contained my eyes from what I'm seeing. I went inside and my... More

One hour pump boat ride was well worth it. Black island is enchanting. The black limestones covering the island cliffs made it different. we were greeted by white powdery sand, and what we enjoyed the most was the lagoon in one of the caves. the water was cool and clean. Snorkeling is very good also because it's just near the... More

From Popototan Island about 45 minutes, that is a wonderful place. Beautiful white beaches, very clear water There is also a mysterious black hole Inside the water is fresh not salt water Soaked in water is very comfort and easy.

Because the surrounding is also blue. One of the best I've been to! Though it was brief I enjoyed it the most. Be ready to pack your snorkel/swimming gears if you plan to include it in your itinerary cause you wont resist its charm you will definitely try a dip.

The snorkeling here, is I believe is the second best in the world. It really felt like being on another planet. Although it is an incredibly long trip from North America I hope to return.
