The City Airport is located in the Barton area of Manchester, near Eccles... This is a great place to spend a few hours... free entry and parking... however be aware that this is not a huge airport as it caters for light aircraft and helicopters......More

Nice to watch planes and helicopters. Good cafe. Fairground rides during summer. Very pleasant. Geared for young children.

We visited with young children and had lunch in the cafe first. The food was good and at affordable prices. The play area for the children is run down though, the slide was broken when we visited and there wasn’t much else to play with....More

Recently our Cub pack had a tour of Barton Aerodrome kindly carried out by The friends of Barton. The tour costs £2 per person and is well worth much more. The Airport is easy to find just off the M60 and car parking is free....More
