I don't normally whinge but I feel a necessity to do so on this ocaision. All I can say is the "Emperor's new clothes". Seriously bad, and very expensive. Much better public houses and restaurants to find in this lovely little Essex town.

We like the Griffin alot. Always friendly bar staff and nice atmosphere. Nice in the afternoon for sitting in the sunshine. No over priced prosecco either! :-). Always enjoyed a drink in this pub

Good pub serving a selection of real ales, larger and bottled beer. You get a warm welcome, nice reasonable beer garden. A nice local pub to meet up with friends or family.

Very friendly pub, children and dogs welcome. Really great choice of beer, very well kept. Had 6 guest beers on as well as the usual gas driven lagers! Nice outside space. Highly recommended
