Popped by recently and walked from the National Trust car park. It is a much nicer walk down than up... However, fabulous scenery and a real gem. True peace and quiet.

Hidden away down a series of windy lanes, choice of National Trust or private car park (which also has a café with hot and cold food, drinks and beach paraphernalia and toilets), lovely 20 min walk to beach itself. Much of it is pebbly but there are some sandy areas too, depending on the tide. No facilities on the beach... More

We often pass the turning so decided to have a look on the way back from Weymouth. The parking for us was only £2.00 as it was after 4 pm but I wouldn't consider a £5.00 charge too expensive for a days or afternoon parking there. If you walk along the track which runs by the beach there are a... More

As I have said in my previous review it is best to park on the open National Trust land that overlooks the village and the bay.It is a long walk down but not as expensive as taking the car down to the car park ,as the sign says you are expected to pay £5 just to drive down the road... More

This beach is a little out of the way, between Weymouth and Lulworth. If you wish to be "Far from the Madding Crowd" this is the beach for you. The car park is £5 for an all day ticket and I would recommend making it a whole day, not just to get value for money but to explore the beach,... More

we walked here from our campsite at Osmington. It took about 40 mins walking at a casual pace with our daughters (7&9). Lovely cliff walk with great views and lots of nature spotting. Ringstead beach is stony, so remember your water shoes or flip flops if you want to paddle! The water was so still and as it was overcast... More

We came upon this beach via a "National Trust" leaflet and looked forward to a pleasant day at a mixed sand and pebble beach. As we turned onto the road leading down to the beach we had a stunning view, the road went down hill as did the venue. We were surprised to have to pay £5 for the car... More

Ringstead Bay is a quiet hidden beach. There is a charge for the carpark (£5). The carpark is owned by the natural trust so I presume members can park free. It's £2 out of peak season or later on in the afternoon. The beach is a shingle beach with some sand. It's perfect for swimming and kayaking. Dogs are welcome... More

We got chatting to a couple in a Weymouth pub who recommended this beach as its really nice and you can take you dog. I agree, it is really nice, well worth going to. The lad collecting £5 of every car as they entered the car park had clearly been there for hours so was fed up of sitting in the... More
