    Beautiful beach
This is a very beautiful beach, the proverbial white-sand-turquoise-water variety, pleasant and not very crowded in January. Approaches from local males on the beach are few, polite and they give up quickly if not replied, as opposed to other places. Some of them are dressed in Maasai clothing which, according to the local guide, is not always justified and somewhat dilute the Maasai warrior legend. We had a good seafood lunch and drinks at Essence bar, which also provide sun lounges.

    Very Beautiful Beach
Just wonderful.amazing beach in zanzibar Island.very perfect beach for swimming all the time.very busy beach with so many tourists. Kendal has the most amazing sunset. You can walk from kendal to nungwi and swim with the turtles when the tide is low.so much activities to do in kendwa beach. We had an amazing local guy who helped us move from one place to another for some activities in zanzibar . BABLI was always ontime replying our whatsaap messages and he gave us the best prices. Whatsaap +255756983368 for the best experience in zanzibar. You can also do a one day safari from zanzibar to mikumi national park.

    Magical Sunset
One of the best beaches in Zanzibar for witnessing sunset. The orange hue over crystal blue water on the long sandy beach is simply amazing. There are plenty of lively bars and beach hotels and clubs. All the attractions are in walkable from Kendwa beach. There are a lot of parties which is organised by the beach hotels present here. Full Moon Night party by Kendwa Rocks is one of them.

One of the best beaches in Zanzibar due to the lack of strong tides
Families, solo travelers, and children come here to relax. There’s plenty of space on the beach, but at times it can feel crowded. Additionally, hawkers and vendors can be annoying, as they tend to be quite persistent. It’s a great spot for swimming: the water is warm, the ocean is calm, there’s plenty of space, and it’s safe. Another advantage is the variety of restaurants catering to different tastes. There are also activities like diving, tours, and other fun experiences.

After nungwi beach I can vote for kendwa beach the second prettiest, beautiful beach.stayed zuri Zanzibar hotel.its a private beach and the beach boys are not allowed to harass the guests different with nungwi beach.we were happy with the hotel everything wa perfect, the food, rooms and the staffs too.only the tours price was a bit high and we contacted Erick from with very nice and positive trip advisor recommendeations.his price was reasonable and the services was as it is recommended by other tourists who visited here before.
Anyone in kendwa who needs tours with transfer anytime you can call or WhatsApp the 🌟 boys, bably was our driver ,he was always on-time.

Very beautiful. Not too busy. Very warm. Friendly people. Safe to leave your items and go for swim. Food and cocktails can be served in your seat. Water sport available and the most amazing Gelato. However, I don’t think it’s a necessity to hire. Take cash, card transactions are charged between 5-7%.

We stayed in kendwa rocks for 3 nights after staying in nungwi beach.both nungwi with kendwa are very beautiful and not affected by the tides but the difference nungwi is always crowded with pushy beach boys who hassle you all the time.

I recommend booking tours online to avoid the hawkers and the beach boys.

We booked all our transfers/tours with star Eric

Kendwa Beach is hands down one of the most beautiful beaches I have been to in Zanzibar. The beach has an exceptional environment consisting of warm local people, sumptuous sea food and drinks and vendors. The pristine white sand and crystal clear waters are equally enticing. A little bit of disclaimer is that you should seek the services of a professional tour guide lest you get lost in the sea of people at Kendwa. I recommend the services of Babli ( +255756983368), an extremely professional and committed guide.

It could be a very nice long and wide beach...BUT there a lot of fisher boats doing theirs fishing business during night and throwing all the garbage in the ocean and beach. It is and looks so dirty, not only fool of empty oil metal cans, plastic bottles and other small little garbage.
They don't care and are not educated. They don't understand that their environment will be dead if they continue like this. I guess it's their culture to live in the garbage, as you can see driving around the island away from the hotel's.
Really not one of my favourite locations...sadly they don't look after.

Kendwa Beach is a true oasis! Its turquoise blue waters, are very “Instagramaveis”, the stunning sunset and the traditional dhows boats create a magical landscape. In addition, the local hospitality makes the experience even more special.
But remember that when you leave the Resort area, you will be approached often by migrants from the African maasai group from North Africa, many of whom have migrated to the beach and wear their typical costumes. Good for training your English! If you like interacting.

Of the best known ones, it is the only beach on the island where you can always swim at any time of the day. Large, with fine white sand like talcum powder, transparent water, sandy bottom without algae or urchins. At sunset it comes alive with people arriving from all over, kids playing and dhows passing on the horizon. In the bay near the fishermen's boats and in the seabed the starfish. Amazing Kendwa!
