Have visited for many years going back to my choirboy days when I lived in Axbridge. Overlooking the town square of this medieval village this is a beautiful church well worth a visit.

This church is huge and so many wonderful artefacts, my favourite is the box showing the bread and coin that is given to the second poor of the parish and continues to day

I got married here a million years ago. As I lived locally I could walk to the church on what was a brilliantly sunny August day.

We thoroughly enjoyed visiting this surprisingly large church for such a small village. There are many interesting features in the church with monuments to local families and lovely old stone carvings.

This Church, looks spectacular. Built from limestone, it stands in an elevated position overlooking the town square. Upon entering, through a modern glass door, one is immediately impressed by its light and airy interior. It is worth lingering to look at the impressive windows and...More

The church looks brilliant when viewed from all angles. It is worth going inside and walking around to take in the history. Excellent photo from the medieval square abutting the church. If you visit the town definitely go up to the church.

There is a wealth of history to be discovered within the grounds and inside this church. It has been superbly renovated and is well looked after by the local congregation. The ceiling is a work of art and finding the green man proved an interesting...More

Pretty old church dominating the square at Axbridge. Dated back to 15th - 16th century for most of it although I believe some parts or built on the site of an older church dating back to the 12th - 13th century. The ceiling in the...More
