Catch a 10 eruo mini ferry to Pinel.. OR rent a kayak and row over.. Or better yet, cruise up in your yacht, etc and anchor. The latter 2 will allow you to stay on the island later than 4:00. Which is the last departure time for the mini ferry back to St Martin. Once on the island it is... More

Small uninhabited island off the north coast reachable by a small boat ferry ($12.00 pp round trip). 2 restaurant/bars on island with beach chairs for rent. Beautiful still water? Only downside was bathroom about 100 feet up a sandy trail hill. Don't easy.

It is not a big island, you can walk around it in 30 minutes but if you want to get away from the busy beach at Anse Marcel this is a good option. The boat fare is €10 and the boat runs every half hour from the nearby beach, or you can hire a kayak and paddle across. At the... More

A magical, surpising place, a paradise for snorkelers, relax in the beach, restaurant with typical sea food, and a stunning view! How to get? Take a taxi in the harbor or anywhere in the city of St Marteen, to the pier that owns the boats that transfer to Pinel island! They are boats that leave every half hour, it costs... More

Pinel Island is just a great place to be - for anyone. Family friendly, great beach(s) and three excellent restaurants. Also, if you are adventurous, you can walk an easy trail to the other side of the island (10 minute walk) to a more deserted beach where you "can" have a clothing optional day too. You get there via boat... More

A fantastic place to spend a relaxing day. We rented a kayak and spent the entire day st the small, but glorious island. Rent your chairs, enjoy the sun and beautiful blue:green waters or have a table set out in the water and have lunch and drinks brought to you. The island is alive with iguanas that come to greet... Take a 15 minute boat ride and take in incredible, breathtaking views or catcha glimpse of sea turtles while you approach Pinel Island ($12 return trip). Hop off onto the small warf and walk into the beach. Choose a set of chairs and umbrella, already set up for you ($20) and float into the calm, clear ocean. A few angel... More

The day was lovely, and so was the island. The gift shop was fun, especially the tree full of the little wild "sugar birds", coming and going from the outside. The snorkeling was not worth the effort. The price of spending the day? Pretty high.
