The snorkelling outfit itself here - which is National Geographic endorsed - is perfectly good. They do good quality kit and offer big, sturdy wooden lockers for possessions whilst you're in the water. The snorkelling area is a short walk from the main beach on the island, and is roped off with buoys. It's got an unusual geography here as... More

Eco Friendly Tour on the Too Rhum Punch Kataram Sail Boat was nice. $129 pp Included all beverages, snack, lunch, and snorkeling. Bus picked us up and dropped off at resort. Stop to snorkel only 40 minutes. Swam in 2 different spots for 20 minutes each. Beautiful turquoise water. The lunch was worth the swim to the beach to the... More

...and we explored a lot of beaches. This was the only trip we took off the main island--once via the ferry and we liked it so much that we went back via kayak. We loved Isabel's setup with the dock that makes it easy to enter the water and the buoyed snorkeling area. So many fish, and my husband even... More

Isabelle is incredible! We purchased a guided snorkeling tour and she began with an informative lesson about the coral and marine life where we would be snorkeling - then off we went for more than an hour just investigating and witnessing some of the most beautiful coral I've seen. We even had not 1 but 3 green turtle sightings! You... More

We took our trip to Pinal Island after Hurricane Gustavo even though the restaurants were closed the lady at ecosnorkling was still there ready to go she was very knowledgable and patient. There was another older guy there that was complaining when we got there and she handled it very well. He was very in the wrong said he didn't... More

I first snorkeled on Pinel Island in 1996 and it's one of my fondest memories. I was on an excursion from a cruise ship and our guides found us a moray eel and two barracuda, along with tons of tropical fish. Unfortunately, the reef has suffered a lot since then. I saw plenty of fish, but the coral does not... More

First, I recommend you go to Pinel Island. While there you should absolutely rent some snorkeling gear from Isabelle at Eco-Snorkeling. She's wonderful and really helped my wife with her first time snorkeling. She's amazing and you should go!!

My wife and I went on this tour close to the end of our honeymoon. We wish we would have gone the first day because we didn't know how much fun snorkelling would be. They take you to different locations so you can see different things and our guide was very knowledgable and had a great sense of humour. We... More

Our trip to Pinel island and spending time snorkeling, hiking, swimming and eating is the best 6 consecutive hours I can remember. My wife, daughter (11) and I found Nirvana. It was the first time my wife and daughter snorkeled and they loved it. Our guide was perfect! It was so relaxed and friendly. If you do this tour you... More

For my 70th birthday, I wanted to try something new and decided on snorkeling. While I swim regularly, it is always in a controlled, pool environment. I am actually afraid of water and it took me a long time to learn to swim as a child. I also have a strong gag reflex. Isabelle took my fears in stride and... More
