Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We are staying at the Divi Resort and feel insulted that facilities are running on such a limited basis.
We understand we are in a global pandemic but we had to book the reservation or lose our 2020 annual fee which had been paid. We have come to a Limited facility timeshare with only 2 restaurants out of 7 open, beach facilities are provided to Locals with limited security and limited social distancing mandates. Cleaning of beautiful landscapes was weak. So disappointed

We cruised to St. Maarten in June, and were looking for a beach that had: 1) good snorkeling; 2) little crowds; 3) some facilities. Based on reviews in Tripadvisor, we chose Divi Beach in Little Bay.
We were not disappointed. Just a short taxi ride from the dock ($10 per person for round-trip), and we arrived at a beautiful beach, with nice hotels and condos fronting. The very east end of the beach was sheltered, and we had great snorkeling in the clear waters there. Lots of colorful fish, and shallow water enabled us to range along the reef, and stop to adjust masks, etc as we went along.
A note about taxis. Be sure to get a taxi at the cruise terminal, where the drivers are professional, vehicles are new, and they will stick to the official rate. They will come back for you at your appointed time, as this beach is only a short drive from the terminal. You can possibly get a better deal outside, but we've also been burned by renegade drivers before. It's not worth the hassle to save a few dollars.

The Divi is the best place to vacation in St Martin. Wonderful buildings and units to stay in. They have great restaurants on their campus for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They are located on great beaches. The Divi was also closed on 2018 due to the very serious storm. We have been there 2014, 2015 2016 2017 and we will be there 2019

The Divi seems to be rebounding faster than most of the resorts post hurricane. Everyone was very nice, our room was large and well-equipped and the store, cafe and restaurants are all well-stocked and excellent. This was our first visit to a Divi resort, but not our last. Shout out to Hareesh, buy a time-share from him!

Have been going to Divi Little Bay for 15 plus years. Gated with security. They have a grocery store, spa, souvenir ship, wi fi, restaurants, 3 pools, beach bar, gym, water sports, and activities. Laid back and quiet. Lovely beach with chairs and umbrellas. Rooms are spacious. Out first couple stays we stayed in the hotel then in timeshare units. Friendly staff. Very clean.

Just returned for a 5 night stay on the Dutch side of St. Maarten and went to several different beaches on both sides of the island, and I feel this was the nicest beach by far. The beach is part of the Divi Resort, but like all beaches on the island, open to the public. The sand was the whitest, finest, nicest to walk on. The walk into the water is a slow decline with no sudden drops. There were no rocks or shells to step on either. The resort folks were also very accommodating with reasonable chairs and umbrellas available for purchase. When I go back, I'm definitely coming back here!

We stayed at Divi & went to many other beaches on the island during our week there. Divi was, by far, the best of them all next time, we are not wasting time driving around for beaches. We also found lots of shells on the beach & snorkeling. best of themm

We spent an afternoon at the beach at Divi Little Bay when our cruise docked in St. Maarten. Little Bay was quiet even with all the cruise ships visiting. There were beach chairs and umbrellas for $5 each and plenty of room to walk and relax. I would gladly return here for a visit instead of the overcrowded Orient Beach.

We rented a snorkel set for $5 usd each and found some empty chairs. We left our belongings there and they were safe when we got back. The water is clear, the beach is beautiful, and the sea life is amazing. Alfred our taxi driver recommended Divi instead of Kim Sha and I am very glad. Everyone on this island was friendly and helpful.

Would you get married on this beach. Is it crowded or private? Personally would anyone think its suitable for a small private Ceremony?
Written 1 October 2016
Sorry about this late response.
A beach wedding would be appropriate, and the staff is very helpful for your specific needs.
On certain days the beach will be quieter than on others.
You will love the setting.
Good luck!

Day Pass to Divi Resort St. Martin
Can you just take a taxi over and rent chairs and umbrella when you get there or is this something you needed to set up in advance? Hoping to do the same at Divi Resort next month. Thx
Written 25 February 2015
Yes you can walk to the beach and rent your chairs and umbrellas. There is no hassel at all. Be sure you eat at the little bar and order a guava berry colada. They're wonderful.
