Elmore State Park and beach turned out to be a beautiful, uncrowded idyll on a hot summer day. We paddleboarded in the lake, swam, and then lay on the grass people-watching and eating ice cream. The lodge building is really cute and rustic.

We visited on one of the hottest days of the summer. The lake was a great place to swim and cool off on a very hot day. The bathroom and changing facilities were clean and spacious. The kids enjoyed swimming in the lake, while the...More

This great family park is really beautiful. Wonderful for younger children and tweens. A peaceful place to float around after hiking the breathtaking little hike. Can be crowded mid summer

We hiked this trail the whole way around (clockwise) on a particularly sunny and warm (68 degrees) day in October. With a brief lunch stop, we made it in three hours. A perfect choice for a dry day but I would not have wanted to...More

We camped at Elmore state park in August for four nights and it was beautiful. What a little gem of a campground with spacious sites, quiet surroundings and beauty to be seen everywhere. You can hike, swim, bike or just relax by beautiful Lake Elmore....More

Nice hike, especially during the middle of the week. Imagine it gets more pressure on weekends. Dog loved it and so did I. Be prepared to do some class 4 climb/down climb. Likely to be slippery when wet.
