About
The beautiful scenery of Land's End has made it one of Britain's favourite destinations for days out. Located at the westernmost point of Cornwall, you can appreciate fully how the relationship between land and sea is constantly changing.Parking your car is the only thing you have to pay for, and you can then walk the clifftops to see how Cornwall changes from season to season, or contemplate the thousands of miles of the Atlantic Ocean which begin at the First and Last Point. No visit is complete without having your picture taken at the famous land's end signpost. Then do a spot of souvenir shopping at the West Country Shopping Village, before taking time out to relax in the Land's End Bar and Restaurant. When it comes to finding things to do in Cornwall, the very tip of the county makes a great starting point for discovering all the places to visit.

If you can walk 25mins park in Sennen Harbour as lands end over priced.
Lovely views, but if you can walk for 25mins, then park at Sennen Cove and do the very scenic walk. Only 5mins steep walking and then all pretty level. You won't notice the to.e as the views are stunning. Parking only 3.90 for 4hrs so plenty of time to walk there and back and enjoy looking round lands end when you get there. Toilets in sennen Harbour car park and at lands end.
Hi mazeilchess, thank you for choosing to visit us, we are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your walk along the coastal path from Sennen Cove, its a beautiful walk that we recommend, it also passes the shipwreck of RMS Mulheim which wrecked in 2003. We hope to welcome you again one day.

    Over commercialised
You have to go because it's there. Gross and commercialised to the point where it is distasteful for a national monument. £4 for an hour car park. Amusement park for children is just another money grabbing scene. I am ashamed to be English as this is how we portray ourselves. Mind you our government at the moment does no better!

    Rip-Off parking
Cheapest parking is £7 for 4 hours on a wet October day.!!!! We weren’t there for more than 40 minutes. The iconic Lands End sign is roped off as they want you to pay them to take your photo. Views are fantastic but parking is a rip-off. Go to Lizard point cheaper parking or free if a National Trust member, views are as good, nice cafes and it hasn’t been commercialised like Lands End

    Expensive
There is plenty of parking at Land's End but the prices are extortionate. There is no discount either even if you are paying for an attraction ticket. The attraction tickets are expensive but we luckily had a 10% off voucher to use. We visited the 4d pirate film (ok). Greeb Farm (ok but not worth the money) and the wallace and gromit exhibition (very good). We had our photo taken at the signpost. The man taking the photos was very helpful but i'm not sure what the girl on the kiosk taking our payment was playing it. Turns out she only wrote the street name and postcode on our envelope - not even the town or the county! Our photo didn't turn up for weeks. It did eventually, but not delivered by the postman. It had been put through the door of someone with the same street name but in a different town. Luckily they wern't that far away from us and they'd been kind enough to use the postcode etc to track us down and they kindly delivered it to us! What a shambles. We had a nice walk around the clifftops and we had food in the cafe which was quite nice.
Hello acs1984, thank you for choosing to visit us and taking the time to leave us your review. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the Aardman Exhibition here at Land's End. We are also pleased that you received your photo at the iconic Land's End signpost and thank you for sharing your experience, we will share this with the external company who own and operate the signpost. We hope you will choose to visit us again ne day.

    Same old same old.....
We were staying in Porthcurno so had to visit. Came a few years ago, nothings changed. Having to pay for a picture next to the world famous sign post is an absolute rip off. This needs to be stopped. Stunning views but the place is looking tired.

    Great
I’m really surprised about the disparity in reviews here l! We personally have been here many times and really enjoy it. Loved walking around lands end looking at the edge of the land and the water ect. Great to see you’ve added electric chargers however I would hate to try and charge here during peak times

Car park is a joke and private company governed!!
We headed here after being at Sennen Cove so we can catch a rare good winter sunset. I know from previous experience that the car park charges, but on this visit, I feel robbed!!! I arrived at 15:37 and sunset was 16:20ish, parking charges for the day until 4pm are £5 for the day and then £3 after 4pm, the bit that annoyed me was that in order to spend an hour relaxing at the landmark it would cost £8!!!! The machine charges you £5 for 23 minutes, then the additional £3 for after 4 pm. I wouldn't mind so much, but not even the toilets were open! Maybe a reevaluation of parking charges is required, maybe to an hour scale type parking like most places.
Hello BristolTraveler84, thank you for choosing to visit us to see one of our iconic sunsets. You only need to purchase one car parking ticket per day - depending which time you arrive is the tariff you would need to pay. Once the tarriff is paid both tickets allow you to park until midnight. Our custom house toilets by the entrance were closed over the festive period however we did have alternative toilets by our attractions building available. We apologise that this was missed on your visit. We do hope you will give us another chance in the future and we will use your feedback going forward.

    Felt conned
The parking was £7.50 for all day which is really expensive for the time of year. No one would want to stay that long at this time of year. Nothing was really open so wouldn't it be better to charge half of that. The iconic landmark sign was a temporary one. We were not impressed with the experience at all. You can't drive in and out again when you see the price of parking as there is number plate recognition .

    Disappointing but some good parts
We have come away in off season timing but expected lands end to be something that was all year round. Paying £7.50 for parking all day when we were there less than 2 hours and did everything seems very expensive, with no option to pay for less. The car park itself is in very bad condition so the money they charge doesn’t get put back into it! The visitor centre was shut along with many outlets, there was one cafe open but only serving pre-made baguettes rather than the ones on the menu. The adventure golf was fun and the man running that was very helpful, the aardman experience was fun however the green screen was broken so no photo opportunity and the shop was shut (disappointing as we are big fans!). The temp sign was easy to locate and a good photo opportunity but a shame the main one isn’t open at the moment.

Car park absolutely shocking before you start!!!
What was open was okay. We didn’t eat here as the cafe was over-priced, neither did we take a photo with the famous signpost as this would incur another extra charge. My biggest gripe is the cost to park £7.50 - which in and of itself I don’t mind, but the car park was an absolute disgrace. I couldn’t tell how deep the portholes were as they were full of water. All I can say is that my car took a bashing trying to negotiate them - it was impossible to avoid them. Not good enough!!!

Standing at the most westerly point of the country is a must do if you are a visitor to Cornwall. A photo beside the iconic signpost is almost on a par with the photo with the Hollywood sign in LA. Pity that the signpost is no longer accessible unless you pay to have your photo taken and there is generally a long queue to stand in while you await your turn. Apart from the foregoing there is otherwise nowt here - all given over to a Cornish Shopping Village selling mostly trash, a few fast food trash food sellers and 4 or 5 so called "family attractions" which look and probably are appalling and which will drain you of your holiday money - a trashy human zoo. The car park is a field - it is expensive and we had to reserve an entry time and pay for it in advance.

Hi FairCItyFrasie, Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry that your visit here was not how you expected it to be - especially our retail and catering outlets and our 4 family attractions. All of our facilities on site are optional extras to add to our visitor experiences to make their visits memorable. In regards to the signpost, this has been owned and operated by an external local company and has been since the 1950's. During operating hours there has always been a small charge to have a customisable photo next to the signpost, after operating hours there is a temporary one in place that visitors are welcome to have to photo next to without having to pay. We are glad you feel that Land's End Landmark is a must do if you are in Cornwall and we hope that you visit again in the future.

Lands End is one of those places you simply have to visit U.K at some stage in your life. It’s a bucket list type place, right?

Well, to get in you’ll need to pay £6 if you pre-book and £7 if you pay on arrival.

Right, about the place itself. On arrival you’re faced with a slightly strange Roman colonnade facade style entrance flanked by 2 lion statues. Slightly odd theme but okayyy. It feels a bit like an entry to low a budget theme park if I’m being honest.

When you get inside it’s an eclectic mix of a few slightly tired shops selling things from jumpers to pyjamas to fridge magnets and teapots. There is also a few places to eat and get a cuppa - or a beer , a museum and a 4d cinema - though when we went the cinema was out of order due to covid. Oh, and a hotel but I think that was being refurbed (?).

Once past the main ‘complex’ you make your way through to the actual Lands End cliffs edge. The famous lands edge direction post is there but to have your picture taken next to it will cost approx. a tenner. They will put a message on it though using letters, take the photo for you and give you an actual print. I wasn’t expecting this. I thought it would just be the sign post! we thought it was rather expensive so we didn’t get the classic ‘pic next to the signpost’.

After the sign you can make your way down to another stand alone cafe building and/or explore the area to your hearts content.

Along with the regular sightseers we saw plenty of people who looked and appeared to be heading off to do some pretty serious hiking. After all, the location and scenery are first rate. There is no doubt about that. There are plenty of tracks to go explore should you wish to do more than simply have a little wander.

In conclusion, it just struck me as a rather peculiar place. It feels like it’s trying to be more than just a land mark but hasn’t quite got to grips with what it wants to be yet. Like it’s trying to become some sort of theme park but needs a big injection of cash.

Do I regret going? Certainly not. Would I go again? Not unless it significantly changed for the better.

I don’t want this to be a negative review by any means. We had a cuppa and a pasty and it was delicious (quite pricy though). And the views and location are genuinely impressive. I just left thinking what an unusual place !)

We’ve lived in Cornwall for many years but only just visited the iconic Landmark of Lands End.
The car parking cost a fiver which even though it wasn’t cheap I suppose it’s the norm these days. It had been raining the day before so there were plenty of muddy spots in the car park due to the loose gravel surface.
Once we entered the resort area it was clear that it was a tacky commercial enterprise aimed at prising visitors cash from their pockets so not exactly the ultimate shopping experience.
We weren’t there to shop though, just to look at the stunning sea and cliff top views.
We did the three mile return walk from lands end to the old coastguard station above Sennen cove where we were treated to stunning views. It’s worth noting that the walk is fairly easy but it’s not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties as the surface is undulating and rough.
Our main reason for the visit was to have our photo taken underneath the Iconic Lands End signpost by the pub.
What a rip off. There is a tiny little hut there and a roped off area around the signpost where they charge between £11 and £15 for a photo which they take then post onto you.
We arrived just as they were packing up for the day in time for us to see them remove their fake signpost where they place their victims home town/ county for the staged photos and then replace it with the original one. We then just stepped up and took our own selfie in front of the sign.
Anyone can do this so don’t get conned into being ripped off.
We probably won’t visit there again but it’s something I’ve glad I’ve done if only to say we’ve been there.

Thank you Mick B for your review following your most recent visit to us. Down here at Land's End Landmark we aim to have a variety of outlets and attractions for all to enjoy. We're sorry that these weren't to your taste. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the return walk from Land's End to Sennen Cove and that you were 'treated to stunning views'. The signpost has been owned and operated by an external local photography company since the 1950's and consequently they reserve the right to operate this how they deem appropriate. Thank you once again for your review and visit.

The availability of an apparent 'pre-booking system' in order that 'visitor numbers can be controlled to a safe level for the area available to the public' encouraged us to book a visit to this well known tourist attraction. This along with the promise of 'safety measures in place' lulled us into the false security of believing that a responsible, covid secure attraction had been established.

However, we were bitterly disappointed. None of the measures stated in their replies to negative feedback bear much truth.

On arrival, we were greeted by the attendant who was very pleasant. It's a shame he was hanging out of his booth and shouting into our car window with no mask. The visitor numbers were so great that we were shown down to the overflow carparks about 3 fields down from the entrance. It remains to be seen how many cars they can actually take before they have had to 'consequently turn people away on multiple occasions'.

Access to the attraction was via a narrow path with NO one way system in place.

Entrance to the attraction itself was again via a narrow corridor with NO one way system, no markings and no attendants. The area around the shops was VERY crowded with NO one way system or attendants to advise.

There are NO one way systems in place to walk around the viewing area and again, NO attendants. There was a queue in place to be photographed by the sign but it was not enforced and staff were NOT in attendance to supervise.

There was NO control on numbers entering the shops and prices were not clearly displayed. However, there were markings to queue for the food kiosks. NO hand sanitising stations were obvious.

We felt very disappointed that such easy measures (as seen in other attractions) have not been put in place.

The standard reply to the negative comments is not in my opinion factually true or morally sound!

I get it, for a land mark / attraction that’s known throughout the world I understand there’s a cost involved. Firstly, car park costs money and then standing next to the famous sign also cost money. But what surprises me is that the line of people queuing up to hand over their hard-earned money. The walk along the coast line was the best.

We prebooked car parking for £6 to ensure we would be able to park as everywhere is so busy with more UK holidays and restrictions on numbers.
Safety measures seemed to be well implemented with queue systems, floor markings, hand gel stations and staff PPE.
We had a drink outside the hotel where it was table service and then self serve by the play area along with pasties and icecream. All staff were friendly and helpful.
We had the obligatory photo which feels a bit vintage as they still post the photos out.

Land’s end, the end of land. All land!

The isles of scillly may loom, lurking on the horizon but take heed oh landlubbers for hear rock air and sea collide.

The coffee from the rather garish and busy (Quel horreur others wanted to espy lands end too) visitor centre was yummo so meandering towards the ‘end’ with a coffee for company or confidence is always a good idea.

The path is easy to find and accessible in pumps, following the apex of the cliff tops.

Purple heather make me teary for the fatherland but content with watching my feet, the vista and Daisy (our chihuahua) devour rabbit poo we scamper around the path like ungainly chamois.

Fences and rope keep people from unintended tumblings and a gentle zephyr accompanies the autumnal wistful Sunshine.

Meaty rocks lie atop one another for a splendid viewpoint to look upon the glory of life and rejoice where kestrels, gulls and gannets dare.

£7 for parking is as steep as the cliffs but is it possible to put a price on this? This elemental wonder in a county of mythic beauty and tangible spirituality.

Follow your spirit and upon this cry God for St Petroc, St Michael, St Piran and England!

Land's End is stunning, with breathtaking views of the Atlantic and the Isles of Scilly. And it remains this way, if you can just keep facing the sea.
Behind you is a mish mash of tacky toot shops and food stalls, noise and "attractions", including a 4D cinema. It's just horrible.
And...can you believe there is some guy,in a little hut, CHARGING for people to have their photo taken by the famous famous Land's End sign??? Seriously. We couldn't just walk up and take our own photographs! Shocking, unadulterated, money-making trash.
It's an eyesore, in the middle of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We were there for less than an hour, because I just couldn't stomach it any longer and I paid £7 for the privilege. During this time, we were subjected to the sounds of a 'band' that set up in the pub, despite being nowhere near said pub. Collectively, they knew just four chords and two drum patterns and played them, relentlessly. And then, there are the fireworks at 9:45pm. What an absolute blast that will be for the local wildlife! Would that be the wildlife that 'Land's End' claims to protect, with the car park fees? Hm.
Honestly, avoid this and go elsewhere. Anywhere! Just avoid this absolute trash, on the westernmost edge of England

Hi Gloria M, Thank you for leaving us feedback regarding your most recent visit to Land's End Landmark. We are sorry your visit was not what you expected. It sounds like you visited during one of our event days 'Magic in the Skies', which happens annually. Again we are sorry that this wasn't to your taste, we welcome high volumes of visitors throughout the summer holidays and to make their evening memorable we host live music, with local artists and band from Cornwall and Devon and firework displays. We take wildlife conservation very seriously here and being located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, we would not launch fireworks without taking all the necessary precautions measures to ensure that we are compliant with any regulations. Thank you again for your feedback and visit.

A return visit for me - maybe 4th time, last time circa 10+ years ago. First time visit for my husband who was welcomed to the attraction with a £7 parking fee, albeit administered by a lovely chap called Colin. This place will bring in a variety of visitors, some will want to spend many hours, perhaps a whole day exploring and walking, but for tourists like us only wishing to spend 1-2 hours this fee is way over the top. I actually dismissed this to begin with until I saw the circus that had been created around the sign and my heart sank. Dreadful tacky commercialisation and I hope the site owners take heed of all these negative comments and have a re-think.

The website advises to pre-book parking as they are limiting visitor numbers due to coronavirus. This is not the case. It is more packed and more of a free for all than it usually is in the busy summer season!
There are no social distancing measures in place, no limits to the number of visitors, no limits to the number of people in the shops and toilets. The only place with distance markers is the queue for the sign photos.
During our visit, which was short, I didn't see a single member of staff cleaning or managing queues/visitors.

Thank you for your response regarding your recent visit to Land’s End scribble86. We’re sorry to hear that you were left disappointed by your visit, and felt there was a lack of covid safety in place. We currently operate a pre-booking car parking system online, so that visitor numbers to the site can be controlled at a safe level for the area available to the public. We have experienced large volumes of visitors to the site, and consequently have had to turn guests away on multiple occasions already this summer. We have multiple one-way systems, 2-meter distancing markings for queues, multiple hand sanitising stations, facemask only areas, and large amounts of signage across the site, plus a high level of cleanliness is maintained daily across the entire 100-acre site for guests to feel as safe as possible whilst visiting us. We have had numerous amounts of positive feedback from guests regarding the safety measures in place since reopening, and are sorry to hear that you felt uncomfortable whilst visiting us.
