Average Beach

Came with a tour group and stopped here for a bit. I didn't think it lived up to how much they talked it up and thought it was fairly average.

After a comfortable road trip to the north in air conditioned car from Batuan, a village 20mins from Ubud (this cost 800,000 with a guide), stopping along the way including the Botanical Gardens & Lake Beratan Temple, we arrived in Lovina. We stayed in two different places here, firstly Rambutan Cottages then Melka Excelsior Hotel, located 3klm apart. Although both... More

When the place was the part of any hotel or residence, the beach was nice and clean and there was sunbads and bars. When we went far from the hotels, beaches was dirty.

From the Lovina beach the boat for Dolphin watch depart by 6:00 am. I think one should stay the previous night at Lovina, so that you don't have to wake up very early. Most of the Lovina hotels arrange the Dolphin trip, so you don't have to pay any unknown persion, which is safer. Make sure that your boat gives... More

When you arrive lovina it's just looks like the busy Street of Sanur. When walking to the beach you see a very impressive and expensive statue, but after a close look, everything around it is just a bunch of old and forgotten buildings. The beach is dirty. A lot of litter. Such a waste. Way too many people trying to... More

We travelled out of season and the entire beach front was almost deserted. Made some of the food options odd as we were only table for with seating for over 100. We also had our own band for most of the evening. We quite enjoyed this as really looked to relax so away from crowds was good. Beach itself is... More

Am glad we decided to not stay in Lovina and just stopped on our way to Amed. Spent a long time walking up and down the beach, posing on the jetty. It was raining and the sea was pretty rough so swimming was out of the question. There are the typical touristy restaurants and souvenir shops lining the promenade.

Lovina is small and has it's charm but you don't go here for the beach. It's really really dirty in the water and on the beach.

That's why it is called Sunset beach! Amazing, Fantabulous, you just can't imagine if you don't visit Lovina Beach .It's a beach with Calm sea and the stunning Black Sands. You need to travel 2.5 hrs through hills to reach there. But after reaching there the calmness of Lovina will definitely loved by you. You must stay 2 nights in... More
