We accidentally came here and never expected to be able to enter the tv-tower. Admittance fee is very low, only HUF 490 per person, and well worth it. It was a bit fuzzy in the distance, but views are great. Please keep in mind that...More

You probably have to be Hungarian to fully appreciate the fact, that kekesteto is indeed the highest point of Hungary, and this fact could help you to overlook what a state of desolation is there. You could call it "retro style" but in fact it...More

This was to be the high point (literally!) of my holiday (as a keen mountaineer), but I must say it was a little disappointing. The picture of a 1960s style high rise tower is actually a hotel that was shut. The TV tower next to...More

Arrived on foggy weather condition which slowly started to clear. The porter (literary) locked the gate and handed us the elevator, we travelled to the upper floor, where the open bar made it worth the adventure. After a half an hour drinking the Sun came...More

I can just say the same like last time: do not miss to go up! The view is amazing even if the weather is not the best. BUT, the staff of the café there.... Please change the lady there... she is the most unhelpful and...More

This is a TV tower on the top of Hungary's highest peak Kékestető on 1014 meters. Ok, it is not a high mountain, but still the highest in this country. You may take an elevator to get to a café or to the open air...More

It's worth going up in the TV tower, when you are at Kékestető. You can enjoy breathtaking views from here and have a cup of coffee or a pálinka, after a tiring hiking trip up to Kékestető.

Go up to the tower and enjoy the view with a cappuccino next to the windows. In the cafe there is signs for the nearby cities. The only negative is the lady who worked in the cafe as a cashier/waitress. She was nasty, unhelpful and...More

It was a very nice program to go up to the TV Tower. The view was beautiful. The entry fee was reasonable. There was a small café in the tower and you could enjoy the view while sipping your tea or coffee. There was an...More

Must visit place in Matra, especially in winter. Ski is also possible, the TV tower is functioning as a look-out tower as well. You can even buy a coffee, if you want. There is an elevator inside.
