It was rather rainy n foggy that day when we visited Signagi. It is a rather quaint n interesting old town. Bodhe Monastery, a convent and one of the major pilgrimage sites in Georgia due to the association with St Nino is also located in...More

This is a great monastery to visit if you are in the Signaghi area. In addition to Christianity stuff, it also has ancient steps with visitors can take a walk with (it is a long one though).

We visited the monetary at start of winter and it was raining and bally full of fog. It was ice drive and great experience. Garden outside monestary is beautiful. Tip: cover yourself fully as the there are cold winds blowing.

We visited this monastery and found it very interesting as it celebrates St Nino who purportedly brought Christianity to the masses in Georgia and had a cross made from tying two vine branches together. Her grave can be seen here and the grounds are well...More

Beautiful monastery with a nice park, but overfilled with tourists. If you are in Sighnaghi it's worth a small trip.

The burial place of St Nino. She is credited with converting Georgia to Christianity in the 3rd century - not actually bringing it here mind you, but she did the donkey-work of converting everyone. The story is she came all the way to Georgia to...More

As an atheist, I found this key Georgian orthodox pilgrimage site worth the stop as part of a visit to nearby Signagi. The newly built traditional Georgian church there is beautiful, as are the Nunnery gardens. If you wish to pray at St Nino’s tomb...More

A lovely tranquil place to visit. The nuns we met were friendly and it is a very pretty place with two churches - one being built, an orchard and huge vegetable patch and wonderful views to the valley below and only 2kms from Signaghi, an...More

When we visited this place, the weather is not that cooperative, it rains heavily. But then we’re able to capture some pics as our remembrance before the rain came😍.

Just besides Monastery there is a smallcafe-restaurant that rents beautifull rooms. I dont remember the name, but it is the closest building to the entrance of the monastery, with garden in front.
