Sierra de las nieves is a very green and hilly part of Andalucia. It has good and marked hiking trails so it is easy to find an adequate hike to get into this beautiful nature reserve.

Took a route through this natural park on the way to Ronda. It's a great drive with stunning scenery, view points and wildlife. At one stop we had a vulture (I think) circling overhead. Would like to spend more time exploring on foot one day

Wow, we had 3 superb days here. Quiet or better silence 24 hours. Fantastic hike possibilities. We stayed in a simple but convenient eco hut had just enough food for the 3 days but loved it. And at night you see the most beautyfull starry sky you will ever see.

We went to Ronda for one night and stayed three because we fell in love with the area. The mountains, the quaintness and hiking all around. We did two hikes - Puerta Suacillo and Le Torrecilla. The latter is 1,919 m high and the highest peak there. Sierra de las Nieves is a range of the Penibaetic system in Malaga... More

Fantastic natural resource, offering something for everybody ( well maybe not the under 5's). Cycling, walking, driving, bird watching, photography and all underwritten by fabulous mountain scenery. Never seen a vulture, with a two meter wingspan? An ibex? Ever wanted to drive around more corners, per than 50 Top Gear Test Tracks? The Sierra De Las Nieves is waiting for... More

AND we got out, walked a couple of kilometers and met the... More

Sierra de las Nieves offers a myriad of hiking trails and natural areas. We chose to go straight for its highest peak—"Torrecilla"—which also happens to be the second highest peak in the Malaga area, at 1,919 metres high. The beginning of this trail can be accessed near Tolox, Ronda. If you are planning to hike this trail, be aware that... More
