Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My husband and I are in our late sixties and drove to the waterfall starting point. We stopped at the information point/cafe and asked advice about the trek ahead which we were told would take about an hour and that our (hire) car was not suitable. Salvo (for it was he!) said that he could take us in his four wheel drive jeep for 25.00 euros which we baulked at to begin with then decided to go ahead. As it turned out it was a bargain, the trek would have led to our skeletal remains being found on the roadside, it's bloody miles! Anyway, Salvo was charming and spoke a little English, he drove like the Sicilian Lewis Hamilton, expertly and confidently which was just as well given the 600 metre drop to our right. He guided us to the Madonna in the lower falls which is worth a detour to see her bathed in perpetual rain and mist and spot a few fish. We then climbed a further 300 meters uphill to Sicily's answer to Niagara - which was beautiful. If you want to make a day of it bring your swimmers and a cheese sandwich, if, like us, you have fulfilled your ambition then be sure to make this clear to Salvo to wait for you in the bushes and phone him (he will give you his number 3491287145) to alert him of your return. He will then emerge Godlike from the foliage and whisk you back to the cafe. You could even have a little lunch - or do as we did have a coffee and a Magnum!
A fun day out and a glorious drive over from Tortoricci.

The waterfall can be reached after a walk of about 3.5 km, crossing very beautiful natural landscapes. The waterfall in winter is "rich" in water and therefore the glance is suggestive. Nearby there are tables where you can rest or eat. The walk is a little tiring, but it's worth it.

Really valuable place from the panoramic and naturalistic point of view. Very suggestive even if in August the waterfall and the river were with very reduced flows. The site can be reached by car independently up to a certain point as the road is bumpy and not suitable for all types of cars. But at the beginning there is a kiosk with guys who can accompany you and pick you up at the site, which is about 4 km away from there. The road would be walkable, but honestly under the August sun and with a small child I did not feel like it (buggies do not go).

An hour-long walk in a Nebrodi nature reserve, pleasant on a sunny dirt road. The road is suitable for vehicles, the 3.8 km walk is mostly flat, we did it with simple tennis shoes. The waterfall is very beautiful and very simple. A different afternoon on a day covered by clouds. On the way back there is a pleasant kiosk where you can relax and enjoy the view

The promenade is very beautiful and the scenery is breathtaking.
However, we were disappointed on arrival at the waterfall. It was almost dry. The good thing is that it's completely free and on the way back there's a little bar where they sell ice cream and refreshments.
Trip Tip, get some good shoes and plenty of water.

We walked most of the way from the dirt track road to the waterfall. We probably took a different route than the main route, passing a little village and a cow farm. The place was divine. The highlight of Sicily. Every other place was just so crowded, here, we had the place pretty much to our selves. Beautiful day, never to be forgotten! Waterfall hunters. :)

Well signposted walk through the countryside to a tranquil oasis of cool. Waterfall was in good flow in October. I can imagine that in summer it would be lovely to dip your feet in the little rock pools to cool off in the canyon.

Enchanting place.. there isn't a long way to go on foot.. the car park is a bit dangerous but otherwise absolutely worth a visit.. the water is not very cold and you can swim right under the waterfall.

Stunning place even if the river was dry and there wasn't much water. The path is a little difficult but not impossible.
