Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you are in the area, just go. You will get it when you get there, I hope. Peaceful place of Hindu worship by the majestic sea.
Minimum donation $10,000 IDR. Wear respectful clothing.

A lovely place : no tourists, only some locals and a very kindly priest who was sitting there by himself: praying and offering.
The view is amazing , when you are around , go visit this temple !

Batu Bolong Temple is a small Temple that was built on a volcanic rock outcropping that extends over the waters of the ocean for a beautiful backdrop that has made this temple one of the most photogenic in Bali Indonesia. The rock underneath the temple has a natural hole, hence the name (batu bolong literally means ‘rock with hole’). This Temple is a must place to visit because of the stunning scenery.

Situated on a point on sengigi Lomboks main road. You pay a small price for a sarong rental (mandatory to wear within the temple). Some steps involved but for the physically active only 3 minutes from your car/taxi.

One of the last days I stayed in Senggigi I visited this temple. For just a small fee (10000 Rupiah) I could walk around and make some nice pictures. There were just a couple of people; among them a couple praying. When you climb the stairs at the
end you have a wonderful overlook on the beach and the sea.

We arrived around 6pm in hope of watching the sunset from the temple. When we arrived my boyfriend was provided with a sarong and I was given a sash (I was already wearing a skirt). We paid 50k RP for the two of us (entry was done on donation & we copied what everyone else gave) and walked down the steps into the temple. It’s on the coast so you have a view of the beach and crashing waves... but don’t expect a spectacular temple that takes you an hour to walk around and take photos etc. It’s quite literally a normal small Hindu temple (still beautiful in itself), but not worth the hype of an amazing “sunset point” we walked down to the temple which is at the top of some stairs (can’t go inside) and left after 10 minutes or so.

WE arrived and there were people discussing the price for entry, sash and sarong. Seems they were trying to charge over 30 000rp each item plus entry. We just handed over our 20 000rp and got our sash and went in. Then the others did the same. The place is dirty. Cigarette butts and empty drink containers and packets all over. Sashes falling and fraying off statues. Was ok but just be wary.

I was very surprised to see a Hindu temple on Lombok. We got there just before sunset and what an amazing view. The locals of the temple were so lovely. Even found corn vendors much to our delight.
