Visited on 21/3/17... Earlier I visited spice farm at Thekady( Kerala) and enjoyed watching all types of spice plantations... Sahkari farm is too busy and guide hurriedly finished... except coffee beans and green chili 😫no spice produce was shown... it was only described..... at least they should have shown kaju tree( cashew) ( since it is located in Goa) but... Sahakari Spice Farm is located very close to Ponda, making it very accessible. For 400 rs. we got a tour from a knowledgable and friendly guide, a complementary lemongrass tea on arrival and a buffet lunch (which was amazing). I would definitely recommend this to anyone travelling near or around Ponda. There is also a reasonably priced shop where you... More

Having spent a few too many days out in the sun, we hired a taxi for the day (from Sinquerim). After stopping at Old Goa, we arrived at the plantation about lunchtime. We didn't prebook, just paid on the door. The tour guide was fantastic; really interesting to listen to. Wandering about in the foliage made a lovely retreat from... More

Didn't realize how different spices are. Lovely to see growing in their natural habitat. Reasonably priced as well.

After visiting here in 2012 I called again with friends. I remembered fondly my first visit but this time we found the actual tour around the farm very disappointing. After a long wait our guide came and we were only shown 4 or 5 spice or similar specimens with a short description and we were expecting much more. It was very... More

Freshness unlimited, this is the first thing which comes to mind when I think about this place. It was a unique experience for me since I know so much about food and spices but to look at them in their very natural form and how they are cultivated was a great. The place has a beautiful small lake at the... More

Decided to take a day trip to the spice farm and was pleasantly surprised. You are greeted by a man throwing flowers petals over you and a lady who puts a red dot on your forehead and then escorted to a shelter where you are given some hot ginger tea. Very refreshing. Then you are split up into groups and... More

Interesting to visit but quality of food was not good at least for vegetarians. Pao were served instead of roti, which was not palatable
