Went here on a Saturday during the school holidays and thoroughly enjoyed what was on offer, free talks and the stewards were very informed. The staff were friendly and the Mote is stunning. Would definitely recommend.

Owned by the National Trust and set in its own grounds. It is a Medieval English Country House which has been extensively restored. There are also gardens and wooded walks plus the inevitable restaurant and shop.

Stunning medieval moated house, run by the National Trust. Contents are amazing and the roof paintings in the historic old chapel are very interesting indeed.

Snowdrops are out in decent numbers in Sussex generally. If you know that Ightham have snowdrops, then they should be in flower.
