This was a last minute decision to take the family on the trip to the bay of islands - and what a great decision it turned out to be. The helicopter was brand new, the pilot was terrific and the views were amazing. My 7 and 6 year olds had the times of their lives and will remember it forever. Pretty reasonably priced too, I cannot recommend this highly enough.

On a road trip on the Great Ocean, we saw a lot of helicopters flying above us. We started wondering if we could go on a flight. On the 12 Apostles car park we saw they take off from here. We had a talk with the lovely staff of the 12 Apostles helicopter team. We ended up choosing the 16mn flight to London Bridge, for 165$/p. What a wonderful idea! It was our 1st helicopter flight and it was gorgeous. Our pilot commented all the views so we knew exactly what we were seeing. Thank you for this experience!

What an awesome heli-tour, absolutely spectacular, it was a perfect day for a heli-tour and our pilot Troy was fantastic very knowledgeable with great commentary and a clear love for his job, we have done a few heli-tours now and this is by far number 1

This was one of the top ten highlights of our recent 77 day vacation to Fiji, Australia, New Zealand, Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora. Although short and expensive it was worth every dollar it cost, honestly it was reasonable compared to similar helicopter and float plane flights we have done in the past and did on this trip. They filmed the flight so we were able to purchase it and they put the chip in a little helicopter which was cute. The flight itself was great, the weather was perfect, we never felt unsafe. There was good narrative through the headphones as well. There are not really 12 Apostles, I think there are 8 left of the 10 originally named, but as a pastor I loved the name. Each protruding rock was different and individually and collectively they were quite photogenic. Between us we probably took over 100 pictures. By flying out and coming back we got some great pictures on our real cameras and our phones as well. The people could not have been nicer. It was a capacity flight but we did not feel overly crowded. I would without a doubt recommend this experience to all who go down the Great Ocean Road.

We did the 1 hour tour with a wonderful weather. It was very very very beautiful. The 25 minutes tour is a minimum. Our helicopter has 3 passengers, some have 7 passengers (maybe too many to take photos and videos). We were only 2 so it was perfect. Booking in advance is a good thing

Does what it needs to do, we had a one hour flight and saw what we wanted to see. Flight was in an Airbus helicopter, 7 people can fly at the same time so you will be sitting with others. You get some explanation on the way but in our case not so much. It’s a real factory where you need to run to get in and out to minimize time on the ground;
Respecting flight times could be better as we had a reservation but needed to wait half an hour because others with shorter flight-times were served first (otherwise they needed to wait to long??)

This was definitely a highlight of our GOR trip.
The weather was a bit overcast and slightly windy, but it was still a great way to see the 12 Apostles. We choose the 25min "Bay Of Islands" flight and it was definitely money well spent. The commentary by our pilot was informative and interesting.
The only negative , was the "safety briefing" was pretty non-existent . These guys do this all the time and luckily , everything was fine, but there wasn't much of a safety briefing.
Would I do it again? For sure!

Extremely disappointed with the people skills.
They open at 10am, we were there at the property as expected 945am.
Checked in got briefing.
Advised a slight delay.
However a 16min and a 25 min flight went before us.
When I approached the gentlemen they advised problems with the aircraft.
I asked to speak with the manager/owner to which he agreed.
(There was an aircraft sitting out in the yard doing nothing and was going to be operatio al later in the day).
Whilst waiting the owner jumped in a smaller aircraft, managed to start the engine after a 45min wait.
After out 16min flight, the manager or owner didn't show, when asked he was busy and the staff avoided me like a plague.
When you book flights for 10am, I suggest these aircraft's are primed and ready to go at 10am.
Not 45 mins past the scheduled booking.
Left and front headset mics didn't work.

I am a tourism Operator, Today I took 2 students tourists for a helicopter ride of 165 aud. Instead of letting us know in a respectful way, they can’t fly without a minimum 3, Nick one of the fight admin at the office was very rude and disrespectful to me and my guests. I am sure he wouldn’t spoken to a local Australian like that because that person would have slapped him on his face!
In this unfortunate time of Covid-19 any business should be open and welcoming with awesome customer service. Also needs to be Respectful to all regardless from which background they come. Racist has no place in the real world.

To answer this question , the ride lasted approximately 15 minutes so the video goes for 15 minutes . It started recording from the moment the helicopter left the landing pad .

When you plug the USB into your computer , go to my pc and the bottom should be removable drive either name of the item on it

Hi , No need to book unless is christmas holidays etc. We arrived on a saturday and only had about 45 minutes to wait. Tip is to book the flight as soon as you get there. You will get a timeslot , if there is a bit of a wait you can get something to eat at the kiosk or walk over the viewing area to get your ground view. They have about 7 choppers , so they get through the line up quickly.You wont regret it , it is spectacular from the air. The pilots also give great commentary during the flight. Hope this helps. You can also get a video of the flight.

I remember seeing parents with toddlers in the lines waiting to go on the flights. They have special babies safety vests too. And you can only wear a sun hat while waiting in the line, you must remove the hat and leave handbags etc behind. They have a place you can leave them though. And if you want to take photos make sure you get a window seat!
