It was an amazing place to visit and I learnt a lot coming here. and even if you aren't one for historic castles. There's a toy museum that is amazing and that features all the toys of the past.

We had a great morning here. It was half term so there was special stuff laid on for kids (not that we had any with us!). It was also a bright dry day which makes all the difference; I think if it had been wet...More

We visited the castle during 1/2 term with a 10yo and 8yo and another family with children of similar ages. They had a Halloween themed trail. The children really enjoyed themselves especially the spooky witches house!! The toy museum was good to look round too.

Was an interesting and quick spot to see before heading to the airport. £11 is too expensive though.

Had a lovely day at the castle with our grandchildren, plenty for them to do and see and they really enjoyed themselves. They can’t wait to go back.

Good way of learning about Norman history in way engaging to children and adults. There are also animals that be fed. Nice little cafe with reasonable prices. Difficult access for the disabled as slope reasonably to but not impossible. Good day out.

A very interesting day out, lots to see and very educational. Lots of history presented in an easily understood way and great fun. Loved the animals you could feed as well.

I passed the brown sign for months before deciding to investigate.it is easily missed. The toy museum is fascinating, though not just toys there are unique world war 1 and 2 artefacts. If you are a child pre 70s you will enjoy a walk down...More
