This was a lovely day spending a few hours watching the whales. The boat allowed for excellent viewing of the whales, the boat is probably the perfect size not too big and therefore everyone one could clearly view the whales. The whales chose to come very close to the boat not the other way ,particularly a mother and calf as... More

We had just 1 day to visit fraser island but we also wanted to do a whale watch tour. So we found this company that offered a half day whale watch tour and a half day Fraser island. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast and light lunch on board is very good. Simple but very tasty! Fresh baked... More

complimentary pick up from Oceans resort was an unexpected bonus. Brian the skipper was excellent, as were all the crew. Sea a little choppy but felt very safe and looked after by the crew. Fantastic views of several mothers and their calves. Thanks for an amazing trip

Whale watching was great but we were mislead by the tour operator. We requested Vegan food, the cabin staff did not have any knowledge of the request. We discussed swimming with whales prior to booking and offered to pay in advance. We were told yes you can, subject to weather conditions. When we were on the boat we were told... More

We boarded the Quick Cat II at 7:15a.m. on a beautiful morning for the 45 minute cruise to the Marine Park off Fraser Island. Being the first day after the end of school holidays the Cat was not crowded and there was ample room to move about and get fantastic pictures on both sides and up front. We were greeted... More

June, thanks for your review. As a small family operated business we rely on our customers feedback. The whales do what they want when they want & sounds like you had a great performance by many whales. Happy you enjoyed my freshly home baked muffins & cakes for morning tea. Jill More

Just returned from a wonderful mornings whale watching. This local, family run business was a pleasure to deal with from the initial phone enquiry right through to when they dropped us back at our accommodation! The crew were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. We saw plenty of very active whales, which came up very close to the Quickcat. All in... More

We opted for an afternoon tour. The morning tour it seems had been a bit choppy but by afternoon the water was very calm, weather warm and sunny. Ideal Hervey Bay weather. Quick Cat II is a 17m catamaran that got us to the whale watching area speedily and smoothly. Three spacious decks allowed for ease of movement around the... More

This should have, and could have been the best experience ever, but due to a passing storm front the seas were extremely choppy and the skipper should have cancelled the trip. There were elderly and young children , including a baby. I would say over 90% of passengers, plus their own crew member, were vomiting. People were thrown around, it... More

So sorry you had a bad day on the water, but we have NO control over the weather. The trip you mention was cut short due to the conditions which is not a normal occurance in Hervey Bay. I hope to see you return as this was a rare event. More

Saw some beautiful whales during the whole 4 hours but it's wayyy to long to be in the water with little to no interaction from the crew. It would have been better if there was someone on a microphone guiding the tour and making it fun and interactive for the adults and kids. Should have brought my book to kill... More

We had an amazing 4 hours of whale watching seeing so many whales breaching and having fun I lost count. We were very lucky. The sea was a little rough on this particular day. The staff were kind and friendly. The vessel took less time to get out to the whales than the boat on the whale watch I did... More
