This was my second time out with family on this tour . We didn't see whales this time but saw dolphins turtles and had a ball on the back of the boom netting. The skipper Pete was excellent and made sure we were all looked after and was informative and knowledgeable about the area and it environment and marine life.... More

This is my third whale watching trip with Blue Dolphin and it won't be the last! Peter knows everything about the whales and gets all the children involved with answering questions. Buffet lunch was included which was delicious and a variety of refreshments were available. Thoroughly enjoyed my day and made a new friend too!

Thank you Suzie for joining us again on board Blue Dolphin. We have very loyal whale lovers who come year after year as no two trips are ever the same. It is also a nice social day out and does not feel like a tour at all, more like a day on the water with friends and the whales are... More

A fantastic and truly memorable day, and a highlight of our two week holiday in QLD. Lovely to be on a small vessel with all that brings-plenty of space for viewing and lounging about, and a personalised service. Peter and his small team are passionate and knowledgeable and keen to share that with their guests. Seeing the whales up close... More

When I got to Hervey Bay during the evening, my hostel told me I needed to call Blue Dolphin because there was an issue with the trip I had booked. It turned out that they had cancelled it because the forecast was predicting some very rough sea the next day. In the end, the day turned out to be not... More

Jodie and Peter run an unforgettable day out on a great boat in search of playing whales They are both passionate and brilliant at what they do Peter is excited about what he does and works with surrounding fast boats to give guests the best whale display he can. We saw lots of mums and calves, a few male escorts... More

Beautiful day. Very friendly staff. Delicious gluten free lunch. Make sure to take a sea sick pill an hour before if you are prone to getting sea sick.

Thank you for joining us on board Blue Dolphin. We cater for all dietary requirements so happy you enjoyed your lunch. We are in a sheltered bay and not open water but some people still get sea sick so we always suggest if in doubt take something to help. Cheers Jodie More

Really recommend Blue Dolphin - 11 metre sailing catamaran (uses motors most of time) with passenger limit of 24. We enjoyed being on a smaller craft as smaller crowd, more friendly and great area at front of boat to sit and relax, sun bake and see the whales. Peter, the captain, was very informative about the whales and communicated with... More

After moving to Queensland 20 years ago I finally got to see the whales. The best choice we made was to go on Blue Dolphin's smaller more intermit catamaran. The weather could not have been better, there was ample viewing space for everyone, the commentary given by Peter was extremely enlightening (even for a science teacher who thought she knew... More

Thank you for choosing and recommending Blue Dolphin. Glad you found the information from Pete interesting (means a lot coming from a teacher). Glad you enjoyed the whales and hopefully it won't be another 20 years before you can come and see them again. Thank you so much for your review. Jodie More
