Such a relaxing cruise. A lazy cruise around the bay, sipping your favourite wine or beer whilst enjoying cheese, bickies and a variety of savoury nibbles. Blue Dolphin allows you to sit up on the deck or lie on the webbing to watch a great Hervey Bay sunset, whilst being attended to by the great crew.
Peter, the skipper unfurls the sail and all you have to do is relax along with the gentle rocking of the catamaran.
I highly recommend this cruise.

We absolutely LOVED this tour. We saw dugongs, dolphins and turtles and had the most amazing time. The girls were so knowledgable and friendly and the boat was super comfortable. Would 10/10 recommend.

This was about my 4th time out with Blue Dolphin. I took my visitor - Michelle- from S.A. with me. We loved the boat, the crew, seeing the whales of course and captain Pete's friendly but professional tour guiding. They also served a wonderful chicken, cold meats and salad lunch. I shall return Blue Dolphin!

5 stars are actually not enough. A once in a lifetime experience as it should be. Due to the captain's immense experience, we had the pleasure of having the cow and calf swim right past our boat. Always first keep enough distance from the whales, which then came to us on their own. And since we were at sea all day on this trip, we were alone for lunch. To top it all off, there was also the jumping of the calf, although the captain always knew exactly when it would happen due to his experience. An incredible experience. Plus the excellent service on board with lots of food and drink. I would book it again immediately.

The entire trip was wonderful, Peter and crew were so thoughtful, food was really good, but the whales were fantastic, we were on a pod for 2 hours and they just performed. Altogether one of the best days ever

Amazing day organised by Pete and Anika. Guides were very knowledgable and professional. Food and snacks were delicious and plentiful. Plenty of sightings of humpbacks, dolphins, turtles and dugongs. Boat was very tidy and spacious, and toilet was spotless. We were treated to a sail home which topped the amazing day.

Very well designed and executed excursion. The 9 outs trip is on board a ship that uses wind when possible, making the experience very pleasant. It covers a huge area so you maximise the number of encounters with whales, while providing a great views to Fraser Island. The crew is helpful and fantastic. They provide coffe, tea and food pecking every now and then and a nice lunch around 1 pm. There is a lot of chance involved in this type of trips. In October the place was packed with mother and calves performing al sort games and jumps. The captain made sure we did cautious approaches to many many pairs and small groups. Best whale experience by far after trips in Hawai, Canada and Norway.

Hi Vic, yes we do still have places available for the 30th of July. The cost is $160 per adult for the full day trip. By the end of July there should be good numbers of whales in the bay. Thanks Peter

HI thank you for your interest in Blue Dolphin. We offer a full day whale encounter departing at 7.30am and returning approx 3.30 or later depending on what the whales are doing and where they are. Outside of the whale season we offer evening sunset sails inclusive of all drinks and nibbles. Hope this helps.

Hi , Thank you for your email and question. Our whale season is from July 18th till October 24th. We can see dolphins on this tour.
Our dolphin tours operate from mid November to end of June, they are a 4 hour cruise.
The whale tour is all day, 8 hours.
