The Hervey Bay Dive Centre is the region's premier PADI dive training centre, whale swim, dive tour and charter operator who specialises on providing dive tours to the ex HMAS TOBRUK Wreck and the Southern Great Barrier Reef. Owned and operated by a local family with years of experience in the marine industry. The centre prides itself on providing a bespoke personal experience supported by our passionate and professional crew and a strong environmental approach. The centre provides the only dedicated swim with whales tour departing from Hervey Bay from July - October.

This is the fourth time diving with you guys, the service was impeccable the friendliness of the staff and crew were absolutely fantastic. Nothing was a problem, was such a fun relaxing experience and we will do it over and over again, thank you from me and all who attended

We took a tour out to sea to spot some whales and hopefully snorkel with them. The tour was excellent and the boat crew looked after us amazingly all day. We didn't really get to do much snorkling with the whales but that didn't matter one bit. We saw so many whales it was incredible. There were lots of mothers with their calf and they were splashing and breaching in the water. We could have watched them for hours more and it was sad to leave the whales and return to land. Just incredible.

Fantastic day - even though we weren’t able to swim with the whales we spotted loads of mummas and babies, dolphins and turtles! The food was great, the crew very entertaining and the weather was perfect. Would take this tour in a heartbeat many times over!!

Informative
Smaller boat and hence group made better experience
Unfortunately could not swim with whales as mothers and calves but we so be back next year earlier in season hopefully for swim experience

It’s is getting close to the end of whale season so our chances of finding a lone whale to swim with was slim. We did get in the water once but the whale wasn’t interested in us. The whole experience was magical. 5/5 The crew was very respectful of the mums and babies and we got to see tails slapping, fin’s slapping and breaching the surface. Sooo worth the money. Experience of a lifetime

It is a great experience for me and my girlfriend to meet whale before our wedding ceremony, although it is almost the last season for watching whale, we can still see many whale nearby our boat. We can hear the sound of whale, whale jumping etc. The screen will definitely inside my memory forever.
Besides, the staff is very nice and tell a lot about the whale, and the trip includes lots of food, snacks and drink for us to enjoy.

Went on the whale watch and swim tour and it was fantastic. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We saw some fantastic whale action and had the chance to get in the water with whales. The day ran smoothly and was just lovely. Highly recommended.

We had the most amazing day out on our whale watching tour with Hervey Bay Dive Centre. We saw so many whales swimming, breaching and fin slapping. We even managed to find 2 male whales to attempt to swim with! The staff were fantastic, super friendly and gave us lots of info.

Hi Marta, we do a swim with the Whales Tour from Mid July to the end of October each year.... I note to you that we only swim with fins, mask, and snorkel only as we are not permitted to use scuba in Australia around the humpback whale.
