With a safe and shallow bay for littles to play in the sand and get experience in the ocean, Hillays is a brilliant spot for families. All the facilities needs, fast food, taverns. shade, shops and showers. Protected beach so tiny waves.Visited January 2023Written 8 January 2023

It was great for small children, there were lots of great eateries, and the small theme park had great staff who were very friendly and ensured we had a great time!Visited February 2023Travelled with familyWritten 6 February 2023

Great area for family's to go have a swim and just relax, plenty of restaurants and other speciality shops to buy food and drinks, plus souvenirs. Or just bring a picnic basket.

As locals we find the venue is great but SO MANY SHOPS ARE EMPTY AS ARE CATERING VENUES. When will the management listen and drop their HIGH RENTS so people can afford to have a business here. This is supposed to be a Tourist Destination and yet some many people have gone out of business here. We walked all around and spent money here as we feel sorry for those that are open and struggling

Once again this toilet has been closed and broken for 2 mths. Unacceptable disgraceful. It’s discrimination of the worst kind. You MUST provide working disabled toilets amongst all the eateries.

Shame on the owners as there are so many vacant premises. Why..... because businesses have to pay too much rent. This place should be busy ALL year round. We are locals and if you go there in the daytime, the place is like a ghost town with not much open and those that are do limited hours. And thats in October/November when there should be crowds. If thats not bad enough the old site for the big water slide is still vacant.

We left a private function at 11 pm to return to our car when we were abused and harassed by numerous gangs of youths hanging around the marina. We were intimidated and scared. Not the family-friendly place I remember it to be. Where was the security to move the youths on?

We took 3 grandchildren to the Local Shack at Hillarys, this evening, very disappointing chips mushy and only just warm, kids fish & chips was an insult to kids and when I asked for napkins as there were 4 pick up meals only 2 were given.
Never again will we go there.

Brisbane, Australia16 contributions
The easiest way to Hillarys is by public transport. Take the Joondalup line traib towards Bulter at the Perth Underground Station. Stop at Warrick station then take the 423 bus. This bus will terninate right at Hillarys. The teip will take avout 1.5 hrs.
Going back will be the same route.
If you are travelling as a family, buy the fanily all day ticket which will cost you just more than $11.
