We hate crowds and prefer visiting authentic places. This place is located 15kms from Ubud and is totally worth a visit. It's nickname is the Valley of the kings in Indonesia as down the 300 stairs, you'll find enormous tombs carved in the cliffs. The scenery leading you there is gorgeous with rice fields, palm trees, a river etc. Arrive early to avoid people and the heat, bring a bottle of water (600 stairs in total still).

I hadnt been here before and we were on our way to Tirta Empul and I asked to stop.It started raining but that didnt stop us and so glad we did go in because the bigger tourist one close by was packed and awful.Entry fee was 30000rph per person and it was so serine and peaceful. You can still bath here is separate pools for men and women.Just beautiful.I would give Tirta Empul a miss and visit Gunung Kawi instead and miss all the tourists

This is really a purifying water temple. One of oldests on Bali. Definitely worth visiting. Take your time - do not hurry. And you can also purify yourself.

Nice temple, had a lot of visitors, you can move quickly in and out, the entrance fee includes renting a sarong that everyone is required to wear.

I could recommend booking a professional meditation tour before hand so you can do some meditation and guided shower here.

Very positive and peaceful ambiance overall.

A beautiful, picturesque, quiet water temple located a short distance from Ubud. Our guide brought us here reasonably early in the morning (around 9am) and we pretty much had the place to ourselves. A couple of locals were bathing in the holy water and this temple represents a less crowded version of the more popular Tirtha Empul Tampaksiring. A lovely water temple and quiet, peaceful place to pray or meditate

A wonderful temple complex, beautiful and spiritual, peace is perhaps the most suitable for it. They took with them an individual guide, who told everything in an interesting way.

We arranged a traditional water purification ceremony with the local priest. It was the most tranquil & peaceful ceremony we’ve ever done in Bali. We practically had the whole temple complex to ourselves. No tourists & only a few locals. It really was a once in a lifetime experience.
We started with our offerings to Vishnu followed by the water purification then our blessing from the priest, chanting for 20 minutes & finished enjoying Balinese ceremonial snacks.
Incredible experience.
This is the most authentic temple experience you can get in Bali.

Few tourists, and everyone there really seemed to appreciate the serenity and beauty of the place. There were very few (apparent) Instagrammers. What a nice break from all the other beautiful spots in Bali that are just overrun. 30,000 IDR entrance fee includes free sarong.
