UofS is one of our country's distinguished teaching and research centres. It is the home of Canada's only cyclotron or high speed particle accelerator--if I got the science right. World's first public use of cobalt radiation for cancer cure was made here i 1951! Actor Donald Sutherland is a graduate of UofS. One of Canada's most important Prime Ministers, John... More

Was here for a conference. Overall the campus is really nice and there a few things to see around there. I was booked a room in the Athabasca Dormitory. As expected, it's pretty spartan accommodations - single bed, desk, towels, a bar of soap, communal bathroom, and wifi. Just the essentials! Visited in May and the heaters were still going... More

My daughter and myself recently made a quick trip to Saskatoon on recommendation from our vet here in Williston, North Dakota. Had issues with her pup that could not be figured out here in the states. Whether or not the pup's issues could be figured out is not the issue. We could not have been treated more cordially and with... More

Whether winter or summer, there is always something to see on the U of S Campus. Several of the buildings has small museum, for example, the Biology Building has a small one on the first floor. The geology building has a great dinosaur display. The engineering building has a full size jet engine cut apart on the 2nd floor. Just... More

What an amazing campus. Quite picturesque in the middle of the city. Was nice to walk through the campus during the day.

If you happen to be on campus during the week and need a quick lunch, try Choices in STM (St Thomas Moore, right on College Dr and across the bus terminal from Place Riel, on the 1st floor). They are separate from Marquis Hall/Culinary Services so the food is different than anywhere else on campus. Excellent soup and if you... More

I was here for a wedding at Marquis Hall during the Remembrance Day weekend. Lots of room and space for the wedding. The staff were very helpful. The facilities were nice, easy to decorate and had a modern feel to it. Walking out on the campus in the evening was beautiful with the olden architecture being lit up by the... More
