We couldn't miss Place George V, mainly because its park in front of the big Gothic-Revival-style armoury remains hidden by huge boards. They clash with the beautifully maintained Parc de la Francophonie across the street (Grand Allee Est). We wandered over for a closer look...More

The whole green space was fenced off with a tall (not see through) fencing. The armory on the south side of the park is getting a complete facelift and promises to be underconstruction for quite some time.

It's under renovation, surrounded by scaffolding, wrapped in tarp. Judging by the contours of the building it should be interesting
