Beautiful purple lighted at night

These monuments have a big play on the history there and at night is lighted with really beautiful purple lights. Do get to see it in both day and night time.

It would have been better with running water, but maybe not. without the water you get an unobstructed view of the statuary that adorns two levels of the fountain. the small flower gardens circling (literally) the fountains add a splash of color to make this a beautiful site with or without the fountains running.

This is a spot that would be more significant if you do a little research before you go. This fountain was a gift to Quebec and has a lot to see - just not always easy if there is a lot of traffic.

When visiting Old Quebec we passed this impressive fountain often on our way to and from our hotel. Frankly, most old fountains are enchanting to me. Is it worth walking up and down the steep streets of Old Quebec to see? Probably not. But if you stumble upon it you will be delighted and glad you did!

Quebec loves its fountains, statues and public art. They value creativity and history. Its a must see if you are visiting this town. It's just outside the wall surrounding Old Quebec and toward many other attractions. Also, its just outside of the Parliament.

Amazing fountain located near the Parliament building. Donated to the city for their 400 anniversary by the Simon's department store. Originally located in France, in derelict condition, it was brought to Canada and restored. Beautiful statuary, interesting water jets and lit at night. It makes for rather impressive photos.

We saw this from our Hop On Hop Off red double decker tour bus and our guide gave a full explanation ... which I don't remember. Lol. But the fountain is really pretty. These are the only frogs in the world shooting water UP from their mouths. A quick Google search would give you the background.
