Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I've been to the Big Point of Sale for a long time.
I was more than pleasantly surprised during my visit yesterday! On this beautiful Sunday afternoon, the Point of Sale was buzzing with life, and the number of traders present and the diversity of products offered was impressive!
It's not the Old Port Point of Sale I'm still bored of, but it's still worth a visit. I was going there for an artisan who sold jewelry, bread, a bottle of wine, but I will return very soon for fruits and vegetables, cheeses, cold meats, surely dinner there as well... in short, if you had been disappointed with the Grand Point of Sale a few years ago, go back! Preferably on weekends, it's really good.

With a taste of smoked meat we go to So-Cho du Grand Point of Sale which has in concession Joe Smoked meat from Baie St-Paul. Even if now you can eat on the go we prefer to bring everything home. A good idea to now offer both options, the purchase of smoked meat and the offer to taste it on site.

Thought this might be a nice place to go on a rainy day. We were also craving fresh fruit. It was a CAD$20 Uber ride from the old town. We were disappointed. Granted in was a weekday but it was virtually empty. I’d say maybe 20% of the shops were open. You could have fired a canon through the place and not hit a thing. Ended up buying a hot dog which was the hottest dog I’ve ever eaten (habanero). Had an ice cream from chocolat harmonie. The thickest coating of chocolate ever. Quite amazing.
Maybe come in summertime or over the weekend.

Very nice and helpful merchants, just expected more shops and dining options. Specialty food shops with gift/souvenir merchandise. If you are in the area it's worth to stop in, but don't make it the focus of your trip or make a special trip all the way out here.

This is a favorite spot whenever we visit Québec City. It's a joy to stroll through the marketplace, with friendly business owners who offer high-quality products. Grocery shopping has never been so much fun! Many of the merchants offer on-site meals, so it's a wonderful spot for sampling lots of different cuisine. Go there with an appetite and take your time while browsing.

We went to the Grand Marché de Québec to do some shopping at Accommodation Chalou to get some Quebec microbrewery beers. This store allows us to discover new beers according to our tastes. We also went to Bleu Nature to get their excellent blueberry pie and fruit ketchup. Finally, we went for a quick dinner, each ordering a slice of pizza from Bottega. My partner chose the Tutto Verde and I the Margherita. We really enjoyed the taste. At Bottega, we can purchase several products such as pizzas made on site, oils, vinegars, tiramisu, cannoli and other Italian products.
The +:
-parking is free for 2 hours
-many indoor and outdoor activities take place throughout the year
-the building is bright and the kiosks are inviting
-the smell of food cooked on site

A lot smaller than we had imagined it would be and a long way out of the centre of Quebec. Good quality food and drink from local producers. Other stalls which sold things other than food and drink were not open.

Le Grand Marche is a new market that opened recently. Its a mall like market with lots of upscale shops and unique boutiques. From olive oil, to wine, to butcher shops, it has a little bit of everything. Mainly food the market offers some quick serve locations and couple sit down restaurants. Its located near the Arena (videotron Center) and is part of a large entertainment complex. Not a tourist spot, but i think that will change in the future.

This relatively new market about a 10 minute drive from Old Quebec (easy Uber...) is loaded with booths that offer a taste of Quebec. Lots of fresh vegetables, meat, cheeses, wines and sausages for those looking for a look at what is locally fresh. We bought maple everything here at good prices. Not a lot of options for eating right there unless you did what we did and just grab food from different booths and have an indoor picnic!

I think Marche du Vieux-Port de Quebec was closed and this is new market in new location. Great market. It would be very nice place to have casual in addition to buying local products. Unlike the old market, location is far away from tourist area. We used taxi and Uber for the transportation.
