What a neat little area. Local artists selling their artwork, and all around the block were interesting shops full of original gifts. We stopped at Chez Jules for a bite to eat and left the area with a smile on our face. It was a...More

This street is lined with art. The artists are there to answer any questions and are usually working on a piece of their artwork. The art is reasonably priced and beautiful.

As an artist I truly appreciated this area! Many different techniques used for prints that people can buy! You can also buy canvases!

We ended up buying two paintings from this area. Many artists are selling watercolors, drawings, and paintings. Nice place to wonder about.

Even in March, artists were displaying their works here. Rue du Tresor is like a little narrow alleyway that goes from the cathedral to rue Sainte Anne. Many of the works features street scenes around the City of Quebec and would make wonderful souvenirs for...More

Maybe it was the time of year, March, but there were very few artists and not much artwork. I would not go out of my way to put this on the travel agenda unless you are traveling during a more touristy season.

Charming alley walk squeezed between buildings and streets with displays of artwork for sale - mostly of Old Quebec. Wide range of prices. Great little restaurant faces the Rue de Tresor with outdoor seating, heaters and market umbrellas.

A visit to Quebec City is incomplete without a stroll on Rue du Tresor ... the outdoor art gallery. The artisans display their works (mostly watercolours) along the walls of the street. They are chatty and work their sales pitch into their friendly banter. Don't...More

We came during Carnaval, and there weren't a lot of vendors here (called "du tresor", as "rue due tresor" is by the Fairmont Chateau de Frontenac). But loved seeing the different styles. It's a short street, and the artists are very motivated to tell you...More

When we travel, we purchase local art on the sites we have visited. Local artists need our support and the real art (not just prints) make great conversation pieces when people visit. The art always reminds us of how fortunate we have been to travel,...More

Greetings! The Quebec City train station stop is close to Old Quebec. It is a doable walk, bus or cab ride from the station if the weather is fine. Of course, that is dependent upon where in Old Quebec one is staying. We... More
