It came in handy in the winter, wouldn't recommend it otherwise. For $3 it's actually just offer you a really short lift to get to petit champlain so you barely enjoying the view from above.

You have to try this at least once, we did it a few times at night when the city was lit up and it provides a nice view of the town. its quick and its work the price of admission plus it takes no time.

It's $3 to avoid the stairs. It was December, well below zero (Farenheit) and we were cold so we took this down to Petit Champlain. It worked and we arrived safely and quickly. To get back to our lodging, we climbed the steps... they also...More

Worth the small cost when it is freezing outside and the uphill walk feels daunting. Not much of a view for us as we were in the back and it was crowded. Everyone must take at least one Funicular ride in their life.

Small elevator that’s lets you travel from lower town to the chateau Frontenac. Accept all payments and I believe it was $3 a person. We walked down the stairs and roads to get to lower town but because of young children decided to take the...More

Took the Funicular to get from lower to upper town to save having to get a taxi. Was nice to go up once, but I'm not sure I would pay again unless I had to.

For our stay, we parked in a parking garage and walked everywhere. This garage would be about 2 blocks away from the top side of the funicular, on the other side of the Hotel Frontenac. Not sure if there are others closer... More
