One of the centers of attention in the lower city of Old Quebec. It is a normal enough looking building but with a lot of history. it is best to look inside if it is open, but most people will just look from outside.

This is the oldest church in Quebec. It survived the cannons of the English, and it still conducts masses. It's quite small compared to the Cathedral, but it's still a treat to be in one of the oldest structures on the continent. It was has a large wooden model of a sailing ship hanging from the ceiling in the middle... More

We actually went to church here on Sunday morning, and thoroughly enjoyed it. We only speak English, but went to the French speaking service. Everyone was so nice, and accommodating. It's just a wonderful structure, and service.

This little church is buried away at the bottom of the descent from the Chateau. It is an extremely photogenic building. Inside is a typical Catholic Church however, what is really interesting, is the small boat that is suspended from the ceiling. This is really interesting building to visit for a few minutes

This church is apparently quite old and historic and sits in the Place Royale which it dominates. It is architecturally simple and all the better for that - simple and yet clearly has a history.

Beautiful interior, gorgeous statues, architecture. Full of wonderful history including a rare holy door that is one on a kind! Ask the guide that is there to give you information, she was very helpful and kind:)

We visited in the winter and it was only open on Sunday after Mass, but since it's a small church you don't need much time to complete your visit. Take a moment to sit and absorb the simple beauty. Take in the details, then say a prayer and head back out to Place Royal and the Lower Town.

Located at the heart of Place Royale, this old church dominates the square. A trip into the past when you can enter. At the foot of the steps is an outline on the paved street. I had the luck to be there many years ago when the site was excavated to expose the foundations of Samuel de Champlain's original settlement.

This is a small, pretty church. There's some nice artwork, and an interesting small boat hanging from the ceiling. It is worth a peek, but I wouldn't spend a lot of time here.

Be courtious to others attending mass, they will let you roam and take pictures. Stop and say a prayer and take in the glory of this magnificent church.
