Michel gave us a 6 hour walking tour of Montreal. He is very knowledgeable, answered every question with a rich explanation. We crisscrossed the city, saw many points of interest and different neighborhoods. Stopped for bathroom and lunch at our leisure. My wife and I had a great time with Michel. Much richer experience than taking the tour with 30 people and following the guide around. The tour with Michel was well worth the extra money to get a private tour. Very good value for the money. Highly recommended.

Thank you very much for your comments. I am glad that you liked your 6 hours private tour (and the smoked meat :-)) You are right, on a private tour with a small group, i was more able to answer all your questions about Montreal or the country in general. I hope you enjoyed your cruise too after. :)

After making an email enquiry 2 months prior to our requested tour date and receiving a quick response from Michel we booked the Grand Tour immediately online. Michel confirmed our reservation and provided the meeting point. When we arrived, we were the only 2 on the tour and Michel was very flexible with the tour itinerary. We saw so much of this great city, including the interior of churches, Barbie collection, Street Art, important building exterior and interiors, areas of the old port, residential streets and back lanes. We stopped during the tour and purchased lunches at an Italian deli. After walking for 6 hours, Michel left us with some great ideas for the following day. Thank you, Michel, for sharing your knowledge and showing us more than we expected to see and experience.

It's always nice to hear great comments and that you liked our tour. Glad that you likes the the variety of sights along the ways. Hey, who would expect a Barbie Exhibition on a tour. (To other people reading that, it is not on all of our tour, it depend of the mood haha) You are more than welcome. I'm glad that appreciate it and felt like getting more that you expected. See you on your next trip.

We took the six hour tour in the summer and couldn't have had a better experience. Michel is insightful, takes you places that are actually interesting and gives you a good overview of the the city's history. Besides the major sites, you can see local gems like green alleys, small charming parks, and parts of the city you wouldn't know were there unless you're a local. Michel keeps it interesting and at a pace that isn't grueling or too slow. Bonus: he knows where all the public restrooms are. That alone will serve you well when you're on your own in the city!

We totally lucked into a private tour with Michel last week because the one other person who signed up for the tour didn't show. Michel was a fantastic guide. He really knows his stuff and he's interesting, funny, personable...just a great guide. Even though there were only two of us, he didn't skip anything or try to rush us through. We got a great tour of Old Montreal and a deeper understanding of the history and stories that make this city so great. Thank you, Michel!

Hi Jaskev. Yes too bad for the person who couldn't be there but yes, good for you as you get a sort of a private tour. I'm glad you like the tour and the time with me. Long walking tour with discussion along the way are my favorite tour so of course we wouldn't rush the tour. Thank you and you're more than welcome

This tour was awesome...walking all over the city and getting history, culture, architecture, and urban planning info at the same time. From beautiful street murals to a bird's-eye view of old town to an awe-inspiring cathedral, we saw it all. Michel asked what we wanted to see and he then deviated from the norm and created a bit of a custom tour which took in sites and areas we were interested in. His knowledge of the area is incredible and we were so much more well-informed after...it would take years of living there to get such an insider's scoop. If you like to walk and would love to learn about what makes Montreal tick...take this tour!!

Epic. I really enjoyed that tour too with you and your daughter. In fact all our Grand Tour are sort of customise. But your taste for old industrial building, desire to see the canal too made that tour what it is. That is why we ask at the beginning what people like, what are their interests and so on. You will have to comeback (all on the same train this time so no one is missing) and there other areas outside of the center i think you would like. Thank you for the nice review. Always glad to hear people liking our Grand Tour.
