David is a great guide. He shows you how to ride the scooter and it's super easy to get the hang of. We rode along designated bike paths and quiet streets in more local neighborhoods rather than the bustling streets of downtown and the port area. It was interesting to see part of Montreal from a local's perspective. David is... More

My husband chose this adventure for my birthday on Sept. 11 and it was the highlight of the trip. What a great way to explore the city, especially on a Sunday when the traffic is not too heavy. David was our guide and boy were we lucky to have him. He spent time with us to find out what we... More

Extremely misleading. We wanted to book the company called Montreal Scooter and mistakingly book with Dyad because of the way they advertise "Montreal Scooter Tour" on their site. They have motorized bicycles not scooters. After all that it took over an hour of my valuable vacation time to correct.

This is a really fun way to see Montreal and David is a wonderful guide. You have to be able to balance on a bike but the scooters are easy to ride. We saw so much and experienced the city. David gave us lots of tips and history too.

David is the man. He truly gave us an insiders tour of the city. 3 hours almost isn't long enough. So much fun zipping through the streets of the city. We were able to get an insiders tour of Montreal...from Plateau to Mile End, Little Italy to downtown to Old Montreal and the river. The diversity of this city is... More

Not for the faint of heart, as we did a lot of dodging around in traffic, but this isn't necessarily what you would be doing if you signed up to do this. Our guide said that he wouldn't take just any group where we went -- he would have to decide exactly what route we would take based on everyone's... More

I have to say this was one of the highlights of our trip. Touring around Montreal with guide David was a blast and we covered a lot of ground. Both traffic and parking became a non issue with these scooters. We enjoyed it so much we booked a second tour and took a friend from Quebec. She was as impressed... More

We arrived in to Montreal mid-day and we're looking to do a scooter tour. Dyad had an open tour and guide so we were off! When we arrived, we were greeted by some of the friendliest proprietors I have ever come across. The welcome, along with their laid-back dispositions got things started off well. David was our tour guide and... More

A fascinating way to see the lights of Montreal. From the plateau to the top of Mont Royal to the Old Port and Old Montreal. Downtown, to the canal, to the Latin Quarter, McGill University and the waterfront. David was an exceptional host and guide and so obviously proud of his city that it made even a very cold night... I would recommend Dyad, I enjoyed the tour and riding the scooter. However, it did seem like we were in a rush, we ended up finishing earlier than expected and we did not get to see everything, I was slightly disappointed with that but he said it was not safe to go to the other locations due to traffic and... Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
