Go early so you can get an English tour, and beware it's cash only with no exchange. They take US dollars at par, and neglected to tell us after they took our money at 3:30 we were too late for a tour since they close...More

If you are looking to kill 30 minutes and spend less than $10 to see a beautiful church, this is the spot. Incredibly artistic and still an active church if you want to participate in mass.

This is perhaps the most beautiful cathedral I have ever visited. It is not nearly as large as Notre Dame Paris, St Paul's or St Peters but it is intimate (3500 seats) with the most striking altar sculpture I have ever seen. We visited three...More

Take time to look at everything on display, from small items to the fantastic architecture of the past, but make sure you know the opening times or your trip might be cut short.

This is a must see place if you travel to Montreal. Verify the schedule so that you can also enjoy their organ concert while you tour around the basilica.

The Basilica closes at 4:30 so we bought tickets to see the AURA light/music show starting at 6 pm. The church interior is one of the most beautifully decorated/painted that we've seen anywhere. Both of us said the decor had an East Indian flavor with...More

Well situated in the old Montreal, the Basilique Notre-Dame is a must see. The church is well preserved and still in operation.

Looking at the facade, I wouldn't have guessed it would be so beautiful inside. According to the tour guide, it was named as one of the Major Basilicas by the Vatican, which is something that is not easy to acquire. And it definitely deserves to...More

The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to

celebrated part of the city that explodes into
fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its
