Blew my mind that this exists on the island of Montreal! Walk out and feel the fresh energy as you witness the Rapids set against the backdrop of the city. Bring your camera and hiking boots! Great stop for a picnic and lots of photos hoots.

This park is a beautiful escape from the hustle and bustle of city. There is a biking pathway across the river ,that makes you enjoy cycling with a beautiful view. You can rent bicycles here if you don't have one. There is a lot of space for walking and benches for picnic. There are no barbecues. So you need to bring... More

Parc des Rapides is in the city of Lasalle on the side of the St Lawrence river rapids. It is a fair size park with lots of of areas for walking or just sit. Yes there are many benches to just sit around and relax. The place is extremely clean and is being maintained by the Amis de Parc. It... More

Such a gorgeous place, end of Lac St-Louis, and St-Laurent river, the parc is a nature, wildlife and bird sanctuary, all kinds of birds, turtles and even foxes. Rapids where people Kayak, and boat. All this within 15 minutes from downtown. Makes me happy to live right in the middle of it.

Delightful park and setting in the LaSalle/Southwest part of Montreal. Lovely to walk around and for photo ops, and the river rapids are either invigorating or relaxing depending on your perspective. When you're here it also puts you right on the LaSalle hike and bike trail along the river...again, a non-urban oasis that makes a nice break from the urban... More
